Frigidaire Gallery series ice dispencer does not dispence ice. Also, what is proper freezer setting?

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

Based off what you have described you are having trouble with your ice dispenser not dispensing inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator and you would like to know the proper temperature setting. You may want to open the door of your freezer and check your chute to assure that there are no ice chunks or frost causing issues with your ice dispensing. When you push on the paddle do you hear a noise? If you do not hear a noise your auger could be bas inside of your icemaker. If you hear a noise and no pushing it could be a possible problem with the motor. It is recommended to have your freezer on a zero degrees for a factory setting. I hope this information is helpful. If you need any further assistance please feel free to reconnect. -Matt

Bottom of ice dispencer freezes and wont let ice come out. It is a whirlpool side by side

Check the door flap on the freezer door , which opens to let the ice come thru . If this flap does not close completely , then it will let frost accumulate inside the ice bin , blocking ice from dispensing . If you had given the model number , I would give the part number for the door kit .

FROST BUILD UP ON ICE STORAGE BIN AND INSIDE OF

Most times this is caused by the dispenser door not shutting all the way. This causes moist air to be drawn in through the opening and the moisture will freeze in that area and also cause the dispenser door to have even more problems closing. Check the door and get me your model number so I can list the parts that are most likely causing this, Thanks Sea Breeze

Ice cube button is lite but the only dipenses crushed ice

We have had this problem on occasion. The lever up in the ice dispencer gets jammed with frost and ice. If you remove the ice bucket/auger and let it thaw or just rinse it with water and dry it. Give it a try. -Matt

Whirlpool side/side ice dispencer not working

I had the same problem, however, the ONLY fix was to call the repair guy and get a new part. I took it out, defrosted the unit thinking ice was in the gear mechanism, lubricated and re-installed it to no avail. The repair guy had SEVERAL of these geared mechanisms in his truck so that told me THIS HAPPENS A LOT. Good luck.
