Hi I think your cuttlebug may be broken, I suggest writing to the maker and ask them for advice. Hope this helps.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: cuttlebug breaks apart when a cutter is put

The reason this is happening is because the metal casting (inside the green plastic casing)  on one side (where the driving cogs are) has cracked due to trying to force through something that was too thick..

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done with it apart from complain to the manufacturer

Rebuilt presureplate installed from factory as delivered will not release clutch did it need to be adjusted or released?

Did you install the clutch plate correctly? If you put it in backwards, the pressure plate will not be able to move far enough to release it. If the clutch plate is in correctly, you need to check if the clutch release arm/linkage or the slave cylinder is working properly. You didn't mention a make, model or year, so these are just generic suggestions.

Is the throwout bearing stuck to the pressure plate or could it be the shredded disc causing the jamb

Hi Gregg:
Seems to ne that if you know the disc (clutch plate?) is "shredded" you will need to dis-assemble it to do the repair so it really won't matter what "coould be" since you will find that out when you have taken it apart. Bottom line is, if you have to take it apart anyway, there is no point in guessing.
Best of luck. Hope it goes well.
Cheers and
Happy New Year.

Remove the outer knob, you may have to remove the front plate to get at the nut, you should now be able to tighten it up for ease of use.

Cannot use die cuts

No I don't think your machine is defective. Here are some "sandwich" ideas to help you. I know you asked just for Cuttlebug dies; I included other "sandwiches" that you can do with your Cuttlebug. If you need further assistance feel free to contact me.

1995 intruder 1400 clutch

That is more than enough movement. Most probably don't move half that much. All they have to do is release the spring pressure from between the plates.
