Greetings xboxdrummer,

If all you are missing are the cables to plug the unit into your television, you can easily purchase these from your local retailer.

Here is a link for different cables you could use: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=C0QI1RI04PIQFKC4D3JVAHI?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=xbox+360+cables&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960

I hope this helps!

How to fix xbox 360 with no picture but sound

Hi. First check if the video cable is working correctly, maybe you can borrow a set of cables from a friend and try them with your xbox If the problem is not with the cables I should recommend you to take your console to the service center.
Good luck.

Temporarily Fix Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death

Many owners of Microsoft's Xbox 360 have experienced a massive defect known as the "Red Ring of Death." Because of it, Microsoft issued a 3 year warranty on all existing Xbox 360. If your Xbox 360 has gotten the RRoD, I would recommend calling Microsoft to ask for repairs at 1-800-4MY-XBOX.Microsoft will send you a cardboard box through the mail, but in that time, you may want to squeeze as much playing time as you can out of your Xbox 360. You can take a thick towel, lay it out on the ground (or wherever you use your Xbox 360), place the Xbox 360 on top of the towel, and wrap up the Xbox 360 with the towel in a way that you are not covering the back part of it (where you plug in your cables). Then, plug in your Xbox (if it isn't already plugged in) and turn it on while it is wrapped up. Wait for about two minutes until it overheats, and after that, take it out of the towel, let it cool down for ten minutes, and then you can play it for about two days (which is enough time until the box comes). Note that you cannot do this towel trick multiple times. Thanks for reading my nifty trick!

Red Rim of Death when I switch on my XBOX360! It's no longer covered by warranty! Please help

Log into the xbox.com site and register your xbox for a replacement, after entering your serial number on your xbox you can check if the xbox is really out of warrenty, because of the regular accurance of Red Rings of Death Microsoft has extended warrenty on xbox's that fail because of this

if your xbox is even out of the RROD extended warrenty
the only things you can do is buy a new one or do the towel trick

please check your extended warrenty before attempting the towel trick as it will void your warrenty

the towel trick overheats your motherboard so the thermal paste melts back onto the motherboard, please note this is a completely temporary trick to get your xbox working again

to do the towel trick, unplug everything from your xbox (hdd, Video cables) just have the power cable plugged in, wrap your xbox in 3 or 4 towels and turn it on, either by pushing through the towels or by using your controller, leave the xbox on for 5-10 mins

unwrap your xbox and turn it off
leave the xbox off with everything unplugged for 2-3 hours if not longer (the longer the better, you want to make sure your xbox has completely cooled down) then after it cooling down completely (remember, 2-3 hours minimum) turn your xbox on and it should work, it may experience a fault or two, but a couple of resets generally fixes this, remember this is temporary, might get another month or so out of your xbox

My xbox 360 keeps freezing after a few minutes how can i fix it?

The same thing happened to me and then i got the rrod. :(. But then i did the towel trick and now its works again. the towel trick is where you unplug every thing included the hdd but leave the power cable in. then you wrap the xbox in towels and let it cook for about 20 min. then when its done let it cool for 15 min then it should work again.

If it still under warranty, contact Microsoft for a replacement.
There is no permanent fix for the Red Ring of Death.
