'96 Grand Cherokee--- The battery is drained now after 3 days of not in use. When the Jeep is off the radio staying on and the clock too. What can I do?? Alex

You can take the fuse out everytime you get out or you can have the radio installed by a professional because it sounds like whoever hooked it up hooked the yellow wire to the battery power wire which runs continuous power to your radio.

This is just new problem that has come to... I have not had problem with my Jeep and was wondering if the electrical... I installed new battery in it and still the radio/clock would stay on but if I close one of the doors on the Jeep... It would turn off. SO what gives??

Would not think so, radios do not use that much power. My car sits idle for weeks, still with power to constant 12v. Check your battery, IF going flat that quick, probably needs replacing

I have a 93 grand cherokee put a new battery in it starts fine then when you let it set for a day or so It flattens the battery, but nothing is staying on I checked, what could it be

Think about your statement!! If nothing was staying on,beyond the computer memory,clock etc,the battery wouldn't drain down. Start pulling fuses,with an AMP Meter in series with a battery cable,until you find the circuit. Then work that circuit.

How do i put the radio code in my 96 grand cherokee jeep

Jeep grand cherokee ltd, 1996 The radio is not working, when I switch the power on the antena motor makes a noise although the antena is always up, there is no sound from the radio what so ever, it says WAIT 2 1/2 hours but nothing happens, no tape radio cd, switch the radio off the antena makes a noise then the radio switches off.

Sounds like the problem is in your radio,unplug it for a few days to confirm.

96 JGC with new battery if I let it sit for more than 3 days the battery will die and it wont start.

if you bought a good battery and not just a cheap battery,after you have it charged and your done driving it,turn it off and exit the vehicle,but stay there and make sure the dome lights turn off they are on a timer,if they don't turn off you'll need that replaced.

Battery drain from power door locks on 96 Grand Cherokee

The Module in the Drivers Door is notorius for this problem. I would start by changing that first. Good luck to you. Thanks for using fixya!

96 Jeep GC Draining battery

I couldn't get my inside lights to go out at all which drained the battery. I ended up taking out the fuse. It works but I have no inside lights (dome, etc) now.
