Reset Dell optiplex 780 system I forgot my system password

The only other way to run the Dell System Restore is in Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.Turn the computer off, and then restart it; immediately hold down the ctrl and f11 keys, and it will restore

This method can work if you have created Restore Points, or you can use the automatic System Checkpoints. Any dates that the system is capable of restoring to will be in bold on the calendar display after selecting "Restore my computer to an earlier time

How to reset a e system computer

hi

what is your pc doing

when you say reset do you mean

restore your pc to a earlier time or it wont boot up?

you can remove the battery from the motherboard and put it back in to reset your computer but you will have to restore the time and date in the bios

to restore your pc to a earlier time you have to start your pc go into control panel then accessories and then system tools and then select the restore option and follow the prompts

if it work start up depending on which windows you have installed you have to put the windows disc in and when it loads select repair, and follow the prompts

cheers

I need to restore my compter to facotory using system recovery and I don't have the disk. I have a Emachines EL1850G-42W

Hi christoph73030

You have three choices..
1...Try to do a system restore to an earlier date.
This will take your comuter back to an earlier time when it was operating good, pick one of the darkened dates before your troubles started..
To do a restore: Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
2...Buy a restore disk from Emachines
3...Buy and Install a new operating system...
Sorry for the bad news
Please take time to rate me

Just bought an acer aspire ax1200-b1581a.it worked fine for a few days now it will pop up there was a problem with the internet and shut the itnernet down,it started out going blue screen and at the bottom...

I think the problem is related to virus. Try restoring your PC to an earlier date 9 a date when it worked fine). You do this from Start-> Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Select
Restore my computer to an earlier time and Click Next. A date calender will appear, select the preferred date and click Next twice. The system will automatically restart when restoration is done.

If u are not abe to run System Restore then you need to enter safe mode by pressing F8 during booting and selecting Safe Mode from the menu that appears. In safe mode you will be asked a question, you have to select no, and system restore will start

If restoring your pc does not solve the problem then you may need to reinstall your OS.
