With mine, the manual told me to do a full charge (mine was about 4 hours), but I would just say to plug it in overnight and go from there.

How long do I charge the psp battery?

Hi,

most psp chargers are fitted with a cut-out.
which means that when the batteries are fully charged.
The charger shuts off.
A full initial Charge ( New-Battery ) could take 4-8 hours et,c Dependant on Capacity.
also a red light to green, can indicate full charge.

One day i was playing nba 06 then i charged my psp over night. the next day i went to play my psp but it wont turn on it doesnt even flash green or anythng. i tried charging it again but still wouldnt...

Depending on how long you have had this psp, your battery may have run out of charges. You may have to buy a new one. OR if you are using any sort of unofficial software or firmware then that may also have killed your psp. I recommend first looking up any similar problems online, uninstall any unofficial firmware or software. If that doesn't help then buy a new battery/psp.

your psp charge port might be shorting out. another option to charge would be to get a USB cable and go to your system settings set them to USB charge ON. then go up to usb connection and press X. then plug your usb into the psp and a computer. let me know if this helps.

PSP Slim, picture problems

If he bought it from best buy, ask for a two year reeplacment plan. after that, you tell them what happend to your psp. by the way, the replacment plan is only $29.99. They will either try to fix it, or they will give you a new psp, the same exact type as you said psp slim, for free. But heres a catch. after you use the replacment plan once, you may not be able to use it again. good luck. P.S. what happend to your nephew, is what happend to me.

Brand new psp battery will not charge

Did you charge it first? You need a good initial charge. Depending on the charger, it could be about 6 hours.

Also, remove the battery and check the metal contacts on the top and make sure that they are not covered by anything. Some come with a film to protect them.

Psp 2006 battery

You don't have a problem; the seller is an idiot. Leave it plugged in for good measure, but your PSP is fine.

Many products ship with a completely discharged battery (many cellphones, for instance) and they must charge for a long time. PSPs don't; they ship with a partially charged battery.

Psp camera

This can depend on the firmware you are running. PSP's firmware version 3.0 and up supports the camera. Have a wi-fi network that you can access close by, make sure your battery is charged and select network update.
