ours is on medium and we have taken the fan apart.  We have reset the two blue boxes to the same code.  The one in the remote, above the battery.  And we also set the one in the fan after taking the entire fan apart to get to the box on the fan that was to close to the ceiling for us to get access to as well. We are still stuck in Medium speed with no control from the remote. HELP!!!

Did you ever resolve the problem? We are in the same predicament but the fan is stuck in reverse.

My Harbor Breeze remote control fan no longer responds to my remote controller. The first sign of problems was when the lights began flickering momentarily when I tried to dim them. Then the lights went...

this black box is a watt governor for the lights. just remove it, and wire direct. then you should be fine, just let me know the outcome!! the box should have vent slots in it. part # for hunter fan. i do not know if its the same as harbor breeze. --- part # 98480-02, this is what makes lights flicker. if need be replace remote. go to www.harborfans.com and click on support to find phone number for assistance. have a good day !!

Dual Dimmer / lights go off when fan not on high.

I'm not sure of the exact wire arrangement, but it appears as though a fan and light wire are mixed up, as thought the lights are feeding off the fan wire. Its possible that in the switch box or even in the fan box the output of your fan is tied to the lights so that when the fan is at it's highest output (maximum current), yours lights work properly and not at any other setting. Check wiring for errors.

Fan goes from low to high and also won't shut off via remote!

Your pull chain selector switch may need replacing. pick it up at your local electrical supply house. Make sure you don't change the light switch for a dimmer switch.

Fan works lights dont

It's most likely that when the bulb burned out the electrical heat got to the socket causing the emergency shut down of the lights if you take of the light casing there should be a small switch next to one of the bulbs all you have to do is flick the switch, put back the casing and walla your lights should work (hopefully lol =])

Hunter 52'' fan worked one morning not in afternoon?

try this. always start your fan on high. always. then set it to the speed you want. the flashing lights are, of course , telling you something. you need the owners manual. even if lowes dont sell that particular brand, they can help you find the info. you need.

Remote control stopped working

Under the dome (where the electrical connections are) is the receiver unit for the fan. It could be that it is no longer working. Also the remote may have dip switches to change the frequency channel (sometimes located behind the batteries) check that these have not been changed or check they correspond to the receiver unit on the fan.
