SOURCE: I bought a kenwood radio

First of all, here is the main ONLINE SUPPORT page for your model:

http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/products/car/cd_receivers/cd/KDC-3047G/

And here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://images.kenwood.eu/files/prod/1669/5/KDC-3047_314_3247_3347(EN).pdf

To view the Support Page or the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

See page 6 of the manual for detailed instructions and illustrations on how to listen to and control the radio functions.

See page 8 of the manual for detailed instructions on how to program the RADIO STATION PRESETS and use the STATION SEEK function.

Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.

SOURCE: Hi I have a Kenwood

Yes, there is a wire that is intended to be hooked up to power at all times, and this wire appears to be hooked up to switched power. Look closely at the wiring diagram, in terms of power wires, and find one that is to be switched and one that is to be hot all of the time...

Radio

Hello george_nutti,

The model number you posted is for a center channel speaker which has no controls, and not knowing the exact model number it's difficult to be specific.

Some Kenwood KDC models allow you to select one of 3 "tuning modes", 1) AUTO1 - Automatic search for stations; 2) AUTO2 - Search Preset stations; 3) MANUAL - Normal manual tuning control. If your Kenwood is one of these models, you need to set the tuning mode to MANUAL. For Kenwood Excelon HD receivers, direct access tuning is done by using the included remote. 1) Press DIRECT button on the remote; 2) Press number buttons to enter desired channel number; 3) Press DIRECT button again to exit direct tuning.

Hope this helps.
