I have a cd stuck in my GPX KCCD3817DP CD player. How can I get it back? Will my cd player ever work again?

If the CD door on your GPX CD home music system HM38170T won't open, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check for obstructions: Make sure there is nothing blocking the CD door or the area around it. Sometimes small objects or debris can get stuck and prevent the door from opening. If you see any obstructions, carefully remove them.
2. Power cycle the system: Turn off the system and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes power cycling can help reset the system and fix any issues.

It is 4.5 Volts, 600mA.

Does it look like it is trying to open but somehow it seem stucked? This would indicate a mechanical problem whic is most of the time due to loading mechanism has been misalligned.
Open the device so you can see the tray. The tray is removable. You to remove the tray manually and while it is removed plug the device in so it will go into it's default position. Then insert the tray back again.

Is it still under warrenty?

Either it is worn out or it has a manufacturing defect.

Here are some things to try:

1. Take the cd out, turn off the power, unplug the machine, plug it back in, turn on the power, put cd back in and try again.
2. Check whether other cds play in it or if is it just this disc. Perhaps the disc is not compatible with the player. Might wanna check on that.
3. Is the volume knob turned up?
4. Does the mic work or is it just the cd? This will tell you if it is the disc or the machine that is not functioning properly.
5. If no compatible disc works and the mic doesn't work and the volume is turned up, it "sounds" like the machine is defective.

Hi Could be a bad selector switch, try jiggling it back and forth to see in it works in an in between position. Possible loose power connector to the cd player or cd is faulty. Jay

you have to get music on to your windows media player and plug in your mp3 player and create your sync list for what songs you want on your mp3 player and it downloads itself in about i minute per song
