Question about Lexmark X4270 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Power problem? No lights (usually all blue) come on to indicate it's connected to power source. All cables have been checked, disconnected, and reattached. Outlet is good. Cables look good. I get a row of solid black squares across the display screen when plugged in.

What is the exact model number of the Sony TV? Check if the same issue occurs when connected to a different source device like DVD player or when the TV is not connected to the cable box. Disconnect the connected devices and turn ON the TV to check if the red light still flashes

Computer wont recognize printer, power light flashing

The flashing of the power light indicates a problem in the cartridge/s. Try to remove your cartridges from the printer > close the printer cover > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset > when the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first > check the behavior of the power light. If power light does not blink, open the printer cover again and reinsert the other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the power light to blink with a new genuine Lexmark supply.

When I print, on the paper there is several blue verticle lines at the top of the paper and halfway down and some of the lines are broken. Thankyou Tom

Reset the Printer If there is static interference, or loose connections with the product, this can result in bands or lines in the copy, fax, or scan output. To resolve this issue, check the product connections and reset the product. Make sure the product is on, and then disconnect the power cord from the product.
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from the product, and then disconnect it from the computer.
  2. Reconnect the USB cable to the computer, and then reconnect it securely to the product.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, and then reconnect it to the wall outlet.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the product.
  5. Press the Power button (c02062868.gif ) to turn on the product. If you have duplexer try to open it and clean the rollers of the printer and the duplexer. This usually happens if the rollers are dirty.

Error occurred 6000

It's an ink level indication.
If you are using re-filled ink cartridges, try this.
To solve the ink level error in canon Pixma iP1800/Canon Pixma iP1880. This problem usually appear after refilled the cartridge on the canon printer and ink level indicator showing the ink cartridge is empty although you have filled a cc Ink into the cartridge. And if the problem occur you cannot using your printer to print. The solution you must reset ink level on the printer if you want your computer work again.

If you have a problem like that you ca follow this tutorial to solve your printer problem, here how:
Turn of the printer and Disconnect the power cable to the printer.
Press power button on the printer. While pressing the button connect the power cable to the power source (the power indicator will light in green)
While still holding power button press resume button twice - orange blink and return to green.
Release the power button, then the PC will recognize new cartridge installed (If the power indicator on the printer steady in green you continue to Steps 5)
Run the IPtools software, please await after this software detect your printer correctly or you can set the printer model on "Change Model" section.

Click "reset black and reset color" button to reset the ink level and Click "reset main and reset platen" to reset waste ink counter. After clicked the button you will see ink level of the cartridge on in the IPTol info has 100% and WP and WM has set to 0. Click Exit on IPTool
Turn off the printer and turn on again.

On the reset procedure above usually the problem found on steps 1-4 to make the printer steady light in green. On my experiment if steps 1-4 does not work on your printer, you can use manual reset method for canon iP1700 before continue to steps 5.
Good luck

Okay, this is what happens when you put your USB cable into the external device jack next to the telephone line jack (instead of the USB port). Once you plug the stuff in correctly, the problem goes away.

Printer Acting strangely - red led appears after 13 seconds.

If the red error light is on by itself this indicates a Fatal Error: Fatal error indicates one of the following: ? HP sensor lever or PE sensor lever does not move smoothly. ? HP/PE sensor is defective. ? CR motor is defective. ? PF motor is defective. ? Main board is defective. ? Printer Housing is not secured with screw on the printer mechanism. You could try reflashing the firmware which sometimes helps to rectify this error.
