Here's a link to Toshiba's driver download site. You'll need to choose the exact A100 model (there are several), then choose XP sp2 from the drop down on the next page, and it will give you the list of drivers for your machine.

How to download audio driver in my toshiba satelite A100?

Connect your laptop to the internet.
Go to device manager, and click the plus (+ ) sign beside "sound video and game controller", look for the audio that is not working, right click and hit "update driver". Click "install software automatically" and click next. The computer will find the driver in the internet.

If you don't know how to get to device manager,
for XP, right click my computer and hit properties, hardware, device manager.
For Vista /7: Type the words device manager in the search box (located above the start button) and hit enter.

Sound drivers for Xp sp2

For specific models with different chipset drivers, you can get the sound driver & pretty much everything else on support.toshiba.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, "Tecra, Portege", & sometimes "Qosmio" models came with a built-in HDD recovery, meaning you need to create your recovery disk by running the "Recovery Disk Creator". An application to create your recovery disk. A shortcut is created on the desktop by default, if you cannot find it there, try looking at "C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator" & run the "exe" file, it should give you a menu to create one. After creating the disk, you can use that disc to install the drivers for all Toshiba pre-installed devices/softwares on that machine. For Satellite models, the disc should come with the laptop when you boughtt it. When you have the disc, just insert it inside of windows, it will give you options to install the driver & software for a specific toshiba device.

Hope this helps.
