Using vista & norton 360. in webmail cannot enter text into content box. have disabled norton 360 but problem still exists

1. Log into Webmail:

To access via Webmail, please access the address:
http://yourdomain.com/webmail
will see login screen appear> enter Email and Password>> click [Login] to login

1. Check Email check:

After logging in, you will enter the email list page.
- Click on an email to view its content.
- Click on Compose to create a new Email
- Click Settings to edit Webmail parameters (if necessary)

1. View content of Email:

On this page there are buttons that allow Reply / Reply All / Forward / Delete / Print ... this email is out.

1. Create new Email / Reply Email:

- Enter the sender's email in the To section
- Enter the Email Subject (Subject) and the content below
- Attach a file to the email you want to send by clicking [Attach a file] or drag a file to your computer
- Click if [Send] to send Email or click [Save] to save to Draft folder

Note: Editing Email has 2 Editor type modes, selecting HTML mode will be able to format the text. If you have to edit this section every time, you can go to Settings (section 4 below) to select the HTML mode as the default.

Please check if the spam folder by Norton is present on your Outlook

If that is not there, you will need to re-install the program

To reinstall, follow the simple steps:
>> download the latest version of Norton 360 from the link www.norton.com/n360s_5
>> save the file to your desktop
>> double click the downloaded icon
>> it will remove the existing version and also restart your computer
>> after the reboot, the installer will automatically pop up or you just double click on it again.
>> that will install the latest version onto your computer
>> recheck if the spam folder is there and and all the spam messages are being moved to it

**please note that there are two version of Norton 360, Standard edition and Premier edition.
I have given the link to download the standard edition. Just in case if your Norton 360 is a Premier one, you need to use the link www.norton.com/n360p_5. They have different product keys and you cannot activate a Standard edition with the product key of Premier one.

Click on already purchased then enter the product key..
If you cant find the "alreay purchased" look for the product key somewhere in the application, then enter your key...

or go to norton site, update your software then enter the key that you purchased..

One way to resolve this issue is that activate the Norton program with the existing product key

to activate click on my account and select renew Norton 360 then you ill get an option to enter the product key

you can also download install the free upgrade ie Norton 360 version 4.0 from this link www.norton.com/n360s_4 you will not lose the existing days if you lost please activate again with the same product key

Have you tried disabling your firewalls, f it came with norton 360 or norton internet security remove it and then try connecting if you can then its your firewall stopping it
another way to try without uninstalling is to click on the start button then in the search box type CMD and press return
in the command prompt that opens type
ping www.google.com and hit enter
if you get four packets sent and four received your firewall is blocking the internet connection. Remove it try the internet if it works reinstall it and it will detect the new network and allow you access.

type ipconfig in the command prompt window and hit enter if you get a 169.x,x,x x=any number then the laptop has no ip. Make sure that the network card isnt disabled
if they all fail and the laptop hasnt got an ip address, then the problem is the cable modem, is the internet active? I.e. you can plug it into another pc and it works

At the right bottom corner of the Norton program window, click Activate Now.

Type the 25-alpha numeric product key, and then click Next.

• The product key can be found on a yellow sticker on the back of the CD envelope or in the confirmation email of your download purchase.

I have come across this problem on a norton 360 antivirus solution before. It would also get pretty complicated if you're using vista. However, one of the first things you should do when using any antivirus is to tell the windows OS (be it vista or XP), that your anti virus is taking over the firewall + antivirus activities of the computer. So, what you might wanna do is:

1. Launch norton 360 and check to see if your outbond traffic is being blocked. Your outbound traffic to connect to the server should NOT be blocked and sometimes in 360, it is blocked by defualt.

2. Go to the control panel. Under security, define norton 360 as your firewall and anti virus. If you can afford it, disable windows firewall (since norton 360 is taking care of that problem).

3. After these settings, restart computer (for any process changes to take effect) and try to connect and see.

Hope the above suggestions help. Also, when defining your whitelist (a list of programs that are allowed to traffic in and out through your firewall), try to allow as much as programs possible (those that you deem important enough(, to prevent such an incident like this from ever happening again. Or you could take the route that i took... get bitdefender. Less complicated and more advanced security options. Norton 360 is good too, but for my personal computer, i;d stick with bitdefender any day. Hope the above helps. Let me know if the suggestions work out, else i can instruct in more detail. Thanks.

hmm, well your Norton 360 is a Product with back up feature, and that feature can be Disabled...
1. Open the Norton 360 Main Window.
2. Click on the graphical 'Backup' button (text in a circle in a box)
3. At the bottom of this window is "Turn Off Backup"
4. Rejoice at it no longer giving you the red x

if you brought it online you should have gotten a product key, and serial number. if you google "norton 360 redownload" it should take you a norton page or symantec page. enter "redownload norton 360" in search box and it should go right to it. now just enter product key and serial number and you should be good to go. ihave restored my computer a number of times and this is how i get my norton 360 back without paying again. hope i helped
