When I try to play a DVD all I get is sound and no picture apart from "NO SIGNAL" flashing about my screen.

-   I recently hooked up my Toshiba DVD player to my new AV receiver via HDMI cable. It was originally hooked up to my TV directly via HDMI. When I play a disk now I get a choppy signal and sound. It like its getting a partial signal. -   decrown

you need clean lazor head .buy dvd cleaning disc,can buy from any electronic store. should be ok after the head clean.

Check the line carrying your video signal. See if it is damaged or not hooked up properly. It is usually the yellow wire, although it can be any number of colors.
