We have solved our wireless connection loss by connecting the Hawkings by cable to the first computer needing a signal from it a second computer is able to connect to it OK, these two computers are upstairs and the main computer with router is downstairs this is working OK at the moment without the frustration of losing the internet connection
I think I have the solution: you have to click on the basic settings tab, then n "site survey" button, then (optional) on "refresh" button. Now you will get the information about your network, and you just have to check the channel number of the signal from your main router. then you have to set that channel in the "channel" button of the basic settings tab. You also have to choose Universal repeater as working mode of the sitecom device, instead of Access Point. Hope it helps. By the way, all these settings should be automatic in such a device.... But this sitecom range extender is ****. I suggest everybody is reading: DON,T BUY THIS ITEM!!!! Spend 10 bucks more and get a working one!!!
when using the range extender you have to make sure you set the SSID, channel & wireless key in the range extender the exact same as the router also it has to be in the same IP range so if the router IP address is 192.168.0.1 the range extender IP address has to change from 192.168.1.240 to 126.96.36.199. Hope that helps.
