Question about Philips 9P6040C 60" Rear Projection Television
My color is off-balance it went all red all but the picture was still there i messed with the color nobs on the inside of the back of the tv to get the color on the color controls in the menue dont work anymore also i looked in the lights and only the red is showing picture clear and the blue and red lights are showing really fuzzy pictures please help
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
Here are some of the most common symptoms.
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site http://www.TvRepairKits.com . They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself.
Hope this helps,
