Turn the zoom lever toward the single-tree symbol and hold it until it zooms all the way. Release the lever then turn it toward the single-tree symbol again to engage the digital zoom.

Ricoh Caplio R7 zoom stopped working.

1. Go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instrutions. 2. Remove the card and all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. If those two suggestions do not work, then I suspect you have a circuit problem. Was the camera ever in a hot or damp situation? Could moisture have condensed inside from bringing a cold camera indoors?

I put new batteries in my RICOH Caplio RR660 and the power light flickered, the zoom lens came out and then it just stopped. Why? I have asked about it being repaired but been advised to just buy new?

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Have ricoh caplio rr660 have 3 photos in camera memory. How do I transfer them to memory card, do not have a PC cord

In the picture viewing mode of your menu, look for an entry for "copy". It should provide you with the option to copy from the internal memory to the camera card.

Blurry pictures

What you are experiencing is a phenomenon called camera shake. Camera shake is caused when there isn't enough light for the camera to set a fast shutter speed. The camera's shutter opens and has to stay open for up to several seconds for enough light to hit the CCD to capture the image. Most people cannot hold a camera perfectly still for more then 1/60th of a second. In addition, when the telephoto feature is used on an Ultra Zoom camera, the field of view becomes smaller. Since a lens with a large focal length provides a small picture area, even slight imperceptible camera movement will cause a blurred picture. To reduce camera shake, try one or more of the following when applicable: Change to a fast shutter speed. Put the camera on a flat surface or use a tripod. Brace yourself against a tree or wall. Put the camera in sports mode. For situations with low light, raise the ISO. (Please note this will impede image quality)
