My PC with XP windows is showing a box stating that is infected with SPYWARE and the system is to be cleaned immediately and the system is restarting often. Restarting problem is solved by restoring to the previous date. But still the system has got more than 2000 finles infected and the warning to format/clean it immediately is popping up. I want to do it myself and how can I procure the necessary software to do this?

First thing you need to do is run disk clean up. I dont' know what operating system you are using to give you exact instructions on how to find it. if you are using win xp, you go to start and then slide up to programs, go to accessories and find system tools then click on Disk clean up. When it opens, click the box next to all of the files to clean. use the up and down arrows to make sure you check them all and then click on the "ok' button to start the cleaning.
When its finished, you need to run disk defrag. You can find it in the same located as noted above for disk clean up. When you open it, choose your "C" drive and and then press "ok" to begin.
Disk clean up cleans and removes unnecessary files and defrag rearranges files to but all of your useable space forward in your hard drive to make your pc run better and faster.
if this is taking several minutes then you have problems with your system that are not really solvable in a standard forum.
The best thing i can tell you is the following. Check your memory amount and how many programs your running. Close all unneeded program in the taskar by the clock. Close all other apps not needed at the time.
Run a spyware removal rogram liek superantispywhere.com and an antivirus like avg.vom
Not familair with the yaabaa virus/spyware but usually this error is because your av got rid of the infection but didn't clean up the registry entry. So windows tries to load it and can't find the file so shows the error. So AVg killed it but it didn;t clean up afterwards.
It may not be a virus. It sounds more like a bad case of spyware. You may want to download, install, update, and run something like Malwarebytes AntiMalware. It sounds pretty serious, so it may need the attention of a PC technician to fully remove the infection.
Rundll error is observed when computer is attacked by viruses and spyware.I think your computer is infected by virus and spyware. You can remove the viruses and spyware by using good Antivirus software, but if you want to get rid of all errors permenantely, solution is format your pc and reinstall your operating system then install good antivirus.

To format your hard-drive then re-install Windows? Yes, you would need one.
If you're attempting to rid yourself of a virus, you can definitely attempt a system restore. However, most modern viruses are smart, and the first thing they will do is integrate themselves into the system restore files. If however you have a system-restore disk (CD-ROM) which came with the computer, those will obviously not be infected (nor will they be infected) and can be used to restore the system to the state it was in when you first turned it on.
This almost sounds like you have a maleware infection.
It almost sounds like the one that has been going around that claims to be Windows XP antivirus and that it found 450+ spyware infections (there is no such thing built into Windows XP).
I would suggest running SpyBot or Hyjack This to find out if you do have a malware infection.
in order to uninstall the anti virus from your system you need to visit the vendors site of your anti virus and download uninstaller and run the same. You can also visit download.com or gur.in to get uninstaller tools
if you are infected with spyware you have 2 options
1. you buy an antispyware software and you scan your Pc
make shure you dont scan your pc with one of those free ones on the internet, they offer free fixes but youre really getting more spyware. But you will not be 100 % clean you will still have spyware even if you scan your system 100 times.
this is with any antispyware or antivirus.
2. you erase everything and by everything i mean windows.
if youre pc is a hp , compaq you may have a restore partition.
if its a generic youll need to buy xp or vista
Dont try to do this yourself , take it to some one who knows what their doing , like geek squad for example.
