My computer infected by virus

it is a bad virus that won't let you do anything on the computer, follow the instructions on this link http://www.fixya.com/support/r7263144-clean_computer_from_viruses. If you can install programs on your computer, follow only steps 7 and 8 from that link.

I keep getting a security shield popup saying my computer is infected how do i fix it?

Can you tell if the pop up is from your own antivirus program.??
If it is,
then you should run a full system scan of your PC. Open your anti virus software, find where you can do a scan now.
Enable it to scan and fix all local hard drives and all types of files, and start it. Let it run un-interuppted to completion. Check the log to see what it found.

If it is not your own AV program,
then you have an advertising malware on your PC.
Download this software.. Use Trend Micro Standalone AV and malware remover. Read this.. http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/tsc/readme.txt

Download this Sysclean module. http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/tsc/sysclean.zip

Unzip it into a folder. Download and unzip the latest versions of the following pattern files:
" lpt$vpn.XXX " in ZIP format as lptXXX.ZIP from the following location: http://www.trendmicro.com/download/viruspattern.asp
This file must be saved in the same folder where you run this fix package.

Download and unzip the latest Spyware pattern file.. http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/pattern/spyware/ssaptn/ssaptn129.zip

into the same folder with other files..
This tool is designed to run under Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/VISTA/7 32-bit.

Boot the infected PC in Safe Mode. and run the Sysclean.com module.. (double click it)

Choose to remove all threats, all drives.. Let it run till complete.

Cross fingers.. all will be all clear.

How to remove trojan virus from my pc

The avast! Free Online Scanner for Windows XP cannot be harmed with the threats that hide themselves in the files. No unknown virus can affect its scanning process. It proves to be very useful against those infections that can corrupt the antivirus protection software and make it completely helpless. This free online scan can effectively remove viruses, malware, spyware and also the rootkits. It is recommended by the experts not to use more than one antivirus software or else there will be conflicts between the two.

My ibm netvista 6270 reboot evry time !! my mothercard is ms 6188 pIII 64 Mo

There could be several things wrong but with the information provided, I am going to say that you have a virus and/or spyware. Run a complete scan on system with both antivirus and spyware remover. Rid of all spyware. If you have Limewire, delete it and reboot. This should stop the computer from rebooting.

How can I get rid of CA parental control? I never set it up!

AntiSpyware 2008 is a rogue anti-spyware program from the developers as Antivirus 2009. This program is advertised through misleading and deceptive web sites that pretend to be malware scanners that find infections on your computer They do this to scare you into thinking your infected, even though a web site can't possibly know this, in the hopes that you will download and install the AntiSpyware 2008 program. If you decide to install it, the program will scan your computer and come back with a list of security risks found on your computer that you cannot remove unless you first purchase a license of the software. It is important to remember that these people are preying on your fear and for the most part you do not have the infection they say you do.

Trend Micro Antivirus/Vista Antivirus 2008

Hello there.

Unfortunately you have been infected, by the software called "Vista Antivirus 2008". What this software does is infect you, then prompt you to pay to remove the infection that it installed. So it is a scam.

What i would recommend is use the uninstall instructions from here http://www.windowsvistaplace.com/xp-antivirus-2008-removal-instructions-xp-antivirus-2008/spyware-removal

This will remove the infection (and others) from your system.

Once you have completed the steps, be sure to try an online scanner such as housecall here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
This will not conflict with your already-installed Trend Micro software, it mearly runs through your web browser.

On that note, Internet Explorer is not very safe for browsing the Internet with, i would recommend either Firefox or Opera for a safer/better browsing experience.

Hope this helps.
