I cannnot open the cd drive in acer aspire 5738

How to Remove Replace Install your Acer Aspire 5738Z Laptop CD/DVD Optical Drive

1. Check to see if your laptop requires a screws to be removed for the optical drive.

2. Find the CD/DVD Optical Drive release button.

3. Pull out your Acer Aspire CD/DVD Optical Drive.

4. Get your new replacement Acer Aspire CD/DVD Optical Drive and place it securely into the drive slot.

1.start>control panel>all control panel items>AutoPlay
change settings for each desired media
2.update the drivers for the DVD drive. search in all programs for the program name, go online and download the most recent driver
3. you may have mulitple programs that controll DVD/CDR reading ability. this will sometimes confuse/conflict the drive. try removing one using add /remove programs from the control panel.

sounds like your unit did not detect the hard drive/hard disk.. try to enter on BIOS setup and check your hard drive or else you have a corrupted system.

Once the page loads, click on notebook.In the next window click, aspire. In the next window scroll down to aspire 5738. click on it. On the next window that loads click on document. cd drive can use long time,may be virus,see can use the windows system restore or even reinstall windows,before you buy

you lost bet ...when it has a bluetooth switch it will have a hardware installed.
Best solution is got is a simple call to acer service support,the problem very very simple in 5738 machines they installed foxcom bluetooth device a very much updated version.But the drives in your cd will be broadcom drivers install aspire 3810T model bluetooth drivers.

I had the same problem. BG2046 , Acer DVD was not able to solve the problem (Aspire 5738 ) I downloaded the update from Acer.co.in and then forced a have disk install of the driver from downloaded driver. Which installed my Bluetooth.
