Toyota Original Car Audio 76003

Hi there

Not sure if you can help or not.
I have just recieved a new car, imported from Japan. It has a DVD player in the car, KNN-5180, unfortunately I am unable to use it as it is set up for Japanese DVD's. I am hoping to find a region rest code or disk or something so I will be able to use it ???
Can you help ??? Or point me in the right direction ???

Thanks
Erin

SOURCE: Setting time and CD Player Error 3 on Addzest Car Radio.

Error code 3 means the laser can't read the CD. Use a lens cleaner until it works. Otherwise, it's junk.

SOURCE: I've got Gathers memory navigation

Unfortunately this is not possible: this unit has been sold exclusively in Japan and no other firmware with another language has ever been designed for it.

You must re-enter the security code from original car.
If you don't have you must go to a dealer but since you bought from scrap yard it will be hard for them to give to you.. But try.

Vicky, usually you will have to contact the manufacturers or distributors, they will then take your details & match them on their data base, then they will give you the code.

Hi ndcn w54 DVD player of my car is asking a correct map disk.I need a solution for it Please.

If you are referring to the Navigation system that comes in Toyota/Lexus, unfortunately it looks like your disk is damaged! In which case you will have to look to the dealership or if you're lucky, ebay for a replacement. You might just be very lucky and somehow the disk just needs to be re-inserted. Maybe a bump in the road messed it up. Try ejecting the disk (if there is even one in it) and reinserting. Basically the unit is looking for the navigation DVD. Hope that helps!

From Japanese to English Honda CRV Navigation and Sound System

Hi David, since there's no english language support in honda navi systems, my suggestion is to scrap the head unit and buy an aftermarket one. Kenwood or JVC 2-din units are compatible with honda system. If you have steering control, install SWI interface module (google: pac swi). Ff you have reverse camera, make sure the player have CCD input.

Car cassete player and Radio (AM/FM) doesn't work when I drive

It sounds like you are having issues with one of your wires being connected to the Parking Brake. I know certain DVD players and back-up camera devices have a wire that when connected to the parking brake, will turn the screen blank until you are parked again. I am not sure if this is the issue though.
