Every time I run paint shop pro X2 it freezes right on start up. It freezes in the same spot every single time, which is when it says "loading Cache files" or something rather. I have no i dea what it's doing but what ever it is, it is freezing my computer up and its bugging me. Another thing is that I also have paintshop pro X1 installed onto my computer, maybe it could affect X2?

Did you install the software update for the program. Also remove the software and delete the Paint Shop Pro folder off your HDD and download and clean the registry with that software. Now reboot and re-install Paint Shop Pro.

Dear Friend,
There are many problems that can cause Microsoft to freeze during the process, follow this steps and let me know the outcome.
1. Click on Star> All Programs> scroll down where it says Accessories> System Tools> Disk Clean up. Run that, then you will have results with selection box on the side where you can select every single. Select all and click OK.
2. Click on Start > in the search box above the start button type Run or if you see it there click on it> The Run window appear, type %Temp% + Enter > A new window will open showing you many files and folders, select all and deleted all (a window will show up saying that FXSAPID can not be deleted, simple skip that and the remain will be erased.
3. Follow step number 2 but this time type "msconfig"> System Configuration will apear> Select Starup> Disable all> Click OK> Restart you PC.
4. Update your Pc - Start> All Programs > Windows Update. Select every single update available Important and optional if available.
5. I strongly suggest you to run your Antivirus to search for potential virus, Trojan horse, worm or malware. This can cause malfunctions and instability to your PC.

Can't load res_dll

Download res_dll.dll:
Unzip it and copy the file to C:\Temp\
Run a registry scan with a system utility tool like RegInOut to fix corrupt registry files and remove unwanted junk files.
Hope it works for you.

I have a Windows CE Sylvania netbook that won't boot to the desktop. I can turn it on, but it seems to freeze right as it turns on. It shows the start up screen where it says "Loading OS Image...

One temporary solution is to remove the battery for a while until all the capacitors in the unit discharge. Upon replacing the battery, you get one good power up try. Notice that the date and time have reset. Once you turn off the unit and try to power it up again, the problem comes back and you must again remove the battery for a while. There may be a patch to fix the boot loader, but I have not found it yet.

I want to know the serial number of Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. Thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

Sir/Ma'am if you have misplaced your Key, in case you have bought the Software then you can provide the Vendor's a proof of purchase and they will give you your Key in return.

But IF you are searching for a free key/serial/crack this isn't the right place, as FixYa strongly prohibit such type of activities and keep a record of its customers and experts along with their IP's to avoid any miss use.

I hope you understand.
Concerned, Nooh

thi frgraunke, if I understood your problem correctly. Please try the System File Checker. Click on Start - Run and type "sfc /scannow" (with no quotes). - Please have the Windows CD inserted. This will check for system files and copy the bad ones from the CD. Then restart and remove ALL the antivirus. Restart again and download Avira Antivirus. @ (it's awesome and free!) Then update and do a full system scan. Probably you have a virus. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate and provide positive feedback for our fast-free response today. Thank you :D

Taskmanager disabled by administrator

Q how did this happen?
Ans: There are settings you can access as an administrator that would allow you to disable and enable Task Manager.
IF You didn't do that, Then a virus probably did.

Click Start, then click Run and type in gpedit.msc
click ok.>a new window will open up Once in the Group Policy Editor, expand in turn: User Configuration >Administrative Templates >System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options >just single click on it and highlight it > then on the right u will get 4-5 options the Double click on Remove Task Manager to change its setting >then enable it and restart the computer and then task manager would be there...

SOLUTION 2) If you don't have Windows XP Pro

Click Start, then click Run, type in regedit, and click on OK. > a new window will open up on the left
Expand these registry keys in turn >HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft >Windows >CurrentVersion >Policies >System. Then just single click on it and highlight it > then on the right u will get 2-3 options Right Click on the DisableTaskMgr > Click on Delete, confirm that you want to delete, and Task Manager should be available once again.

Possibly 2 reasons:
1. Driver/hardware/software/application problem; or
2. Virus/malware.

You can consider:
1.1 Run in last known good configuration that worked (by pressing F8 to display menu choices prior to Windows boot);
1.2 In safe mode, Start/Run/type "msconfig" minus the quotes, uncheck everything in the Startup tab, reboot;
1.3 In Safe Mode, run your antivirus or run Kaspersky online virus scanner or anything similar;
1.4 Download/install/run AdAware or anything similar;
1.5 Check you Control Panel for devices with yellow or red markings;
1.6 Set your BIOS/CMOS to conservative/default/best performance settings (normally press Del on powering up);
1.8 Check/Clean your hardware: video card, memory, fan/blowers etc;
1.9 Booting without any USB devices plugged in;

Worst case scenario, use a recovery CD that came with your computer or in the absence of that, reinstall your OS using the 2nd "Repair" option.

Hope this be f help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
