it is a used computer and i don't know how owned it cause the person i bought it from was not the owner when i called dell. It is the bios or the windows password that i need to unlock it people said it is dell but i tryed that and it did not work. I tryed taking out all of the batteries put it did not work. when you turn on the computer it says the computer system, #45bky41-595b, is protected by a password authentication system. you cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password.

Please type in the system or administrator password and press enter.

Is this locked with a bios or Windows password, and is this a new or used machine?

Also, what does the locked screen look like?

O.k. This is a bios password. First you will need to transfer ownership of the machine into your name. You can do this by following the first link below. Then you will need to contact Dell support directly for the master code to unlock the board. They will ask for the service tag number and the system number that you posted above. Follow the second link bellow for the contact number to clear the bios password.

I've never had this problem with ownership transfer, and I've only had them ask once for a previous owner. I told them I got the machine Off Ebay from a computer recycling center. You might try telling them that. If they ask who, tell them the place was Green Citizen, they generally don't ask for the transaction receipt. If you still have problems with them, let me know, and maybe I can get it done for you.

Can you upgrade cpu in dell 15 i5559-4682slv to i7 ?

It is almost impossible to upgrade proprietary makes like Dell and HP. The are big enough to have motherboards made for them manufactured on price point. This means that they are not built with upgrade in mind. Also the cases are made to fit their motherboard and theirs only.

Go to a computer builder and get a good case, buy a good quality motherboard and equip it with what you can afford. In two years you can upgrade as processors have moved on. Two years after that, you can swap out the motherboard, processor and memory.

How to enable bluetooth

Your computer has to have a bluetooth radio. You can check
Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager
Do you see a Bluetooth Radio listed?

If not, you don't have BlueTooth on your computer so you will have to add a BlueTooth device by plugging one into a USB port.

If you have a BlueTooth radio, go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device and Printers > Add a Bluetooth Device

This option is used to connect a blue tooth device (e.g. bluetooth headphons) to your laptop through your bluetooth radio.

See this Windows web page for more information.
Set up Bluetooth enabled device

I will respond to any additional questions you have.

Hide file folder WITH A password

For the most part you need 3rd party software, or a USB drive with security built in. Just remember you are at the mercy of those companies if you lose the password. Plus some software will only works locally. For instance if someone removes the drive and connects it to another computer the files are wide open.
Win 7 Ult and Ent (high end editions have Bitlocker built in.
A simple way is to create a folder within his login account docs and choose hidden as the properties. The only way to see it would be to change folder properties and make hidden files visible. This is just cloaking, because anybody with admin rights can see them.

HOW TO ENABLE BLUETOOTH IN THIS NOTEPAD ?

The Acer Aspire is a high-performance laptop that includes a fast processor, widescreen display and an internal wireless card. In addition to these premium features, certain models also include one-touch Bluetooth access. If you have an Acer, enabling the Bluetooth is very easy and will only take a few seconds.

1.Turn on your computer and wait for Windows to fully boot. Then log in as an administrator. You will not be able to use Bluetooth under a non-administrator account.

2.Press the button with the Bluetooth symbol on the left side of the computer. This will launch the Bluetooth utility. From here you can sync and manage Bluetooth peripherals.

3.Press the Bluetooth button again to disable Bluetooth. This will disable all connections, but the utility will save your settings so the same devices will sync with the computer again when Bluetooth is re-enabled.

I hope you may find it very helpful.
