How do I get my keyboard to work on my laptop after upgrading from windows 7 to windows 10?

Rather than reinstalling try a Google search for (keyboard make/model) windows 10 driver. Without knowing which keyboard that's the best solution available.

Dell inspiron mini 10 touchpad frozen and I can not log on

Hi slimmerkitty...

To fix an unresponsive touchpad on your laptop, reactivate it by using the Function key on the keyboard and the Fn key.
This process is different for each computer manufacturer.
If unsure which Function key enables and disables the touchpad, try each one at a time(F1,F2,F3) and then attempt to use the touchpad after each one.
A...Locate the "Fn" key of the laptop keyboard.
The "Fn" key has different colored text or the key is a different color.
B...Locate the function (F1 through F12) key at the top of the keyboard that disables or enables the touchpad on the laptop.
The key typically has an icon that resembles a touchpad with a finger touching it or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.
C...Press both the "Fn" and touchpad Function key at the same time to reactive the touchpad on your laptop.
Move your finger along the touchpad to verify that it works. Press the combination at any time to disable the touchpad again.
Note: Mac computers use "F2" to enable and disable the touchpad.

My touch-pad mouse is not working in A135-S4527 Can you help? Thanks.

Try to power drain the laptop first.Turn off the machine, unplug ac adapter and remove and hold power button for 10 secs then put the battery back and plug ac adapter if needed. turn on the computer and check if touchpad is working if not then check touchpad settings in taskbar, check if touchpad is disabled if not or if there is no icon there go to device manager(right click on mycomputer->properties->device manager)and look for driver for touchpad under mice and other pointing devices. If driver is not there then you have to reinstall the driver. If you have the disc from the manufacturer of the system then run the disc and install driver or if not go the manufacturers website and then download he driver from there.Make sure you restart the machine after installing the driver for it to work properly, also check if the laptop has a button to enable/disable touchpad...some laptops has that kind of feature...Cheers!!!

Emachine E725 touchpad does not work

The eMachines E725 has a built in switch to toggle the touchpad on or off by the touch of a button. Look at the button to the left of the main power switch. You'll notice the icon looks like a hand touching a rectangle - or touchpad. if this button is lit up, the touchpad is turned off. simply press the button to toggle the touchpad back on. The light on the button should now be off.
It's that simple. I hope this helps.

How do I unlock my touchpad on my new Emachine laptop E625? I believe I locked it inadvertently... When I trouble shoot it, Windows says the pad is working properly. Currently, I am using a USB mouse on...

There should be a button just above the touchpad to reactivate it. If not, it will be the Fn key + one of the Function buttons at the top which look like a touchpad icon.

Mouse doesn't work properly

That's it. There's nothing else.

The problem is with the motherboard and not the touchpad component.

The only thing you could try is updating the bios but it's a long shoot.

Sorry to give you bad news, but it is what it is.

Touchpad key 'sticky'

Hi Talderman, Are you referring to the ?mouse? button just below the touchpad? If yes, that is a common problem and could be the result of foreign material getting in-between the contacts or more likely mechanical wear from use. You can try cleaning the contacts but you will need to disassemble the laptop to get to the touchpad assembly which is part of the palmrest. It?s not a quick or risk free job and typically is beyond the abilities of most home users since it involves removing the LCD panel. Unless you have the skills, tools and have the ability to risk the machine I would suggest taking it to the local Dell authorized shop and having the touchpad replaced. If you decide you want to try let us know and I?ll post instructions on how to take it apart. By the way Ebay has the part for about $20?.. Good luck and please don?t forget to rate the post.
