Farberware 2ld Breadmachine Model: FDR-700DL

My bread is coming out very doughie, and not rising all the way. What am I doing wrong?

Tell me the program you are selecting and send me the recipe you are using. Also please advise the kind of flour you are using. Is it all-purpose flour, bread flour, self-rising flour etc.

Hi I have just bought one of these -and so far following the recipe-have found the same thing heavy and not like nice light bread--I was looking for alternative recioes to try but seems like it may be machine?

We had exactly the same problem. We contacted Panasonic who supplied bogus "advice" about changing the type of flour and using more water. We eventually discovered the reason for the problems: the mixing paddle was now a loose fit to the spindle. Part way through the baking process it would stick. We also have a solution. You jam tin foil in the gap between the spindle and the paddle, it works a treat. Don't waste you money on a new paddle, this won't be a tight enough fit.

Hi, Take the pan out of the machine and see if you can turn the paddles by hand. If yes that's good...if no then paddles are sticking. Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shafts are turning. If no...then the belts fell off or are loose. If everything is fine then maybe it's the electronic panel. Hank

I have model b2300 bread maker only one side brown and cook all the way through the other sied is still white on top and the bread turns out doughy help???


Most definitely a defective heating element, but your perticular model has no user-serviceable parts. Call 800-231-9786 for further assistance.

    Bread not rising


    Is your yeast too old?
    Was the dough too stiff? It should feel like a baby's bottom when it's just finished mixing. This could be caused by improperly measuring the flour. Do not scoop the flour. Gently spoon the flour into the measuring cup and scrape it off at level.
    Are you using bread flour, not all-purpose?
    Did you keep the salt and yeast separate?
    Have you moved (different water, altitude) or changed your food lives in any other ways (such as using Splenda instead of sugar)?
    Are you using tap water or filtered water? Filtered water is recommended.
