Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

Same problem you experienced

How did you make out with Kodak when you had the printer problem? I am having the same trouble with mine - which is also 6 months old! I can't print anything in black. But I read where you changed the color - so I tried that - and it worked! I would like to know if you ever got it to print in black and what Kodak did to make it right with you. Did you have to replace the printhead? That sounds like that might be the problem - was it with you?

    Thanks for confirming what I thought was the problem all along! It stands to reason if a certain color won't print - as in my case - the black - the problem is with the printhead. Every time Kodak would respond with - check your cables & etc - I had already done that several times before I even contacted them! I will call them on Monday morning - and plead my case. Thanks again for getting back to me.

I have just finally got around to calling Kodak (ran out of time before leaving on vacation). My colour printing was getting worse (reds were printing as pink). The Kodak support desk was most helpful and very nice, and after going through several steps with them, it sounds like I have a faulty printhead .... they are sending me a new one which should arrive in a week. I was told to contact them again if this didn't resolve the problem.

6 years is pretty good for a printer. Kodak is dead. Get a new printer, and move on.

You might have some luck with alcohol swabs on the printhead if they're actually clogged; that's basically what "deep cleaning" tries to do with heavy ink squirts. It sometimes works. You should have a menu option to do that.

I just installed a new Kodak ESP 5210 printer. It will not print out documents, it will copy and scan though.

OK, did you install the Easyshare software first before installing the printer? I've experienced technical problems with my Kodak camera when I do not have the Easyshare software installed.

Also, how did you install the Kodak ESP 5210 printer? Did you use the driver from the website, or the CD that came with it?

Check the paper path. It sounds like you might have a piece of debris laying down a line of ink when the paper goes past it. If that doesn't fix it, you might need another printhead. Kodak replaced mine without any problems.

My kodak all in one 5300 has lousy color

Somehow in mfg of the printhead they got too hot in process. email or phone Kodak and go thru a test they have and Kodak will ship you a new printhead along with new color and black ink tanks by overnight air free of charge.
I also purchased a 5500 aio and had same trouble now mine prints great and I have had HP for years to me Kodak is far better quality with there pigmint based ink.

Printer will not print

Sounds like your printhead is gone. I have replaced mine twice now. If you call Kodak they will replace it. They replaced mine for free and they should do the same for you. If you go to and go through the troubleshooting tips, at the end there will be contact numbers for you to phone. I just clicked on "did not resolve problem" to get to the end. I alreasdy did all the troubleshooting questions to no avail. Hope this helps you.

Color of pictures

image quality occuring after long period of inactivity of the printer oftenis caused by inks drying up or clogging either the nozzle or the channels of your printhead. to prevent this from happeniong, i suggest you do the maintenance first: deep clean and calibrate the printhead before you start using it if you havent used it for quite a while. you might be experiencing a printhead problem if the printer is printing predominantly in one color. you should try to visit thsi helpful website. the link ive provided below:

Since installing my printer I have a error code of 3610 and 3501

Go to the website and follow their prompts to reach Customer Support for the AiO Printer(s).
Had similar issues with mine and they resolved my problem overnite by sending me a replacement part.
