Even if the power button is deffective, you can have it turned on using the remote contro. if still doesn't work then you have a problem with the power supply unit. you need to have it chekced by a service personnel

DVD stuck in my Panasonic DMR-E30

Hi Rock.

I had the same problem like this on my machine. The best way to fix it is to turn the machine off completely and hold on the eject button then turn the power on. You want the first thing the player does is to eject the disk without trying to read it first.

I hope it works let me know if it doesn't and i'll try and recreate the problem on my player and see what i can do to get the disk out.

The last resort is to manually take the disk out but lets cross that bridge if my suggestion above doesn't work.

Thanks

smeags.

I was given a govideo DV 2130. The power button does not do anything. None of the buttons do anything. I don't have the remote. Is my problem that I don't have the remote or is the unit broken

some machines require a remote to active them. stupid idea but in some sence a good idea if for example the unit got stollen.
try an all-in-one remote for it or go onto ebay and see if you can buy one. if the same problem still occurs, then it could be a faulty unit.

What's your problem?power button came out

Hello...I have a suggestion for you...If this is a new player..I't should be under warranty...If the power button fell out...you need to return it because to me...This indicates a factory defect..and trying to put it back in would involve removing the front panel at the very least...which would likely void the warranty and/or cause further damage to the unit...and the way I see it...if it fell out once....it'll fall out again...It is defective....I know how you feel about returning items but the warranty is for your protection....Word to the wise...return it and get a replacement...DON'T OPEN THE UNIT!!!!!...I hope this was helpful...PEACE..

I have requirement of region code cracker for sony 3d E370

hi,
To make your BD player you need One for all universal remote control

Full procedure for a oneforall remote is as follows:

1. Press DVD
2. Hold the magic button until the DVD button flashes twice.
3. Press 0533

4. Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
5. Press 994
6. Press Magic Key (don't hold)
7. Press 00189 (if your oneforall remote uses 4 digit or 3 digit codes, use less leading zeros)
8. Press 1 ( this sets it to key 1 - it flashes twice )

9. Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
10. Press 994
11. Press Magic Key (don't hold)
12. Press 00255
13. Press 2 ( this sets it to key 2 - it flashes twice )

14. Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
15. Press 994
16. Press Magic Key (don't hold)
17. Press 00095
18. Press 3 ( this sets it to key 3 - it flashes twice )

19. Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
20. Press 994
21. Press Magic Key (don't hold)
22. Press 00221
23. Press 4 ( this sets it to key 4 - it flashes twice )

24. Hold the magic button until it flashes twice.
25. Press 994
26. Press Magic Key (don't hold)
27. Press 00079
28. Press 5 ( this sets it to key 5 - it flashes twice )

The remote is now programmed and ready to use, to make the BDV-E370 region free:

1. Use the remote that came with the player to bring the player out of standby, make sure there isn't a disc in it.
2. Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the oneforall remote. The 24p light will start flashing. (Centre light)
3. Put the player back into standby with the Sony remote.
4. Hard reboot machine (remove power)to prevent the 24p light flashing indefinitely.
5. Next time you turn on the player it will be region free for DVD playback.
ok

Hi i have moved to australia and need to change my samsung ht-bd2e to region free can you help pelase?

Hello

1. Ensure that there is no disk in the tray.

2. Switch the player off and then back on. This is necessary to clean-boot the firmware.

3. Wait until the main menu page appears and the player stops doing anything.

4. Press the eject button to open the tray. (The button is between the "Power" and "TV Power" buttons at the top of the controller.)

5. Press the eject button to close the tray.

6. Wait while the player searches for a disk.

7. As soon as the "No Disk" message appears at the top left corner do the following.

8. Press the REPEAT button - just above the TV channel selector at the bottom right of the controller.

9. Enter your former region code (Where you bought the player) from the list given below on the number pad.

10. The region code should appear at the top left corner of the screen.

11. Enter a "9" to make the player region free. (Enter a region code if you want to lock the player to another region for some obscure or perverse reason.)

12. Power down and power up again.

13. Play a foreign DVD to verify the change.

you must start entering the code just after the "No Disk" message is shown and before the message disappears. If you miss a number it won't work

Secondly, the REPEAT key is part of the code. All six keys must be entered smoothly as "REPEAT Region code". The entry gets timed out so you can't stop in the middle and restart. Don't bash away like crazy, just do it smoothly and briskly.

If you don't see the "Region number" the first time, don't worry. Just repeat the process. It may take about a dozen tries before you get it to work.

The following are the various region codes.

Region 1 (US, Canada) - 29334

Region 2 (Europe, Middle East, Japan) - 38767

Region 3 (South East Asia, Hong Kong) - 56732

Region 4 (South America, Oceania) - 76884

Region 5 (Russia, India) - 53814

Region 6 (China) - 24462

Pioneer BDP-f1FD Disc Tray Won't open

I fixed this on my unit from a tip on AVS Forum

Unit has "Power on" msg, follow these steps:

1) Hit power button for 5 -10 sec unitl unit shuts off
2) Press open / close button unit or remote first (do not hit power button first)
3) On the third try, the disc tray opened

I had James Bond Goldfinger in the player ( not sure if this had anything to do with it), I put another Blu Ray in and it loaded fine and is playing fine, hope this works for you

Philips dvd player not working

Im sorry to tell ya that you did all the things I would have suggested, so it sounds like a system control problem or a power supply problem, and if its a good machine then maybe its worth you having a service person look at it?? Most dvd units are not worth it these days, unless there combos or recorders.. Sorry couldnt be of more help.
