Remove Water Tank

  • require you empty the unit by hand (usually less expensive units). These have either a removable water tank which must be emptied, or have an internal tank and a drain, where you have to empty the water into your own pan. Sometimes the drain is on the bottom of the unit, making it hard to find a pan that will fit under the unit to drain it.
  • discharge most of the water through the exhaust hose (usually more expensive units). This is called "Auto-evaporation" or "Self-evaporating" feature.
Most units are made so that they can be drained with a gravity hose that flows to a drain inside or outside your house. But the water must drain down. If the drain is higher than the unit, you may need a condensation pump to move the water upward. A few units do include a pump to send the water a short distance through the drain pipe.

do no forget to rate the solution as fixya if it helps you.
thanks.

There is no drain pipe for the unit I have. It has a cap on the back but no hold, how does the condensation.

Self Evaporating Technology - During the cooling process, water is extracted from the air into the unit. Most of this water is then recycled and used to cool the unit and make it run more efficiently. Approximately 65 to 70% of water condensed is evaporated out with the exhaust air, reducing the hassle of emptying the water tank constantly. This unit has a built-in water tank (not removable) with a drain outlet, and a water tube. When the tank fills, the compressor stops operating and the power light will flash. This indicates that the tank should be emptied.

Portable AC leaking

depending on where you live. do have high humidity. then you have excess amount of water that might make condensate. like very cold can of can of coke.

Water tank is suddenly filling up

look closely how the water flows from the evaporator to the tank. does it goes first to the condenser ?..or is there a heating pipe that is touching the tank in order to heat the water for it to evaporate?

here's the set up, your ac would cool and absorb moisture in the air and becomes water in the evaporator. these water is sometimes used to cool the compressor or the condenser to help it run cooler and at the same time evaporates the un-needed water . but incase the water is so much then you have the tank to keep the water from spilling. sometimes they still put some hot pipes to further heat the water to evaporate.

check those pointers that i have mention.

in some case, the air in your place just got humid and wet that is why it has too many water condensation..

Water empty light wont go out

the black wire that was moving water from down condenser to up - water container - remove it. Use cotton swabs to "clean" the holes, do a run of the dryer without that black wire connected ( carefull, cause some wated might spill at this point), reattach black wire, and enjoy :)

It worked for me anyway. ( fingers crossed, its been on for 20 mins and still no red lights flashing)

No Suds! It just Spills the water

there is a little plastic round piece with a mesh screen that should go on the hose part of the shampooer that connects to the tank...make sure that its seated properly since it's this mesh screen that produces the suds
