Take out the back panel inside your freezer and locate the drip line in there, it should be some where under the coils, check if its blocked up with ice, if it is you need to unclog it. there should also be a wire that runs into that drip line (it helps defrost that line) you might need to replace that wire.

What I would do is find the drain hole inside the evaporator and unclog it. The water from defrost operation is not draining properly. themobilian_2466.jpg
To keep ice from forming in the hole a neat trick is to attach a wire from the heater down into the entrnace of the hole to prevent the ice from forming. Basic Ice Box 101

Water is leaking inside

Clogged drain plug. the plug is located in the back of the freezer. Empty the freezer out and pour VERY hot water down the drain hole slowly this will unclog the drain and will stop water from leaking inside your fridge.

Water accumulates inside the refrigerator, Kenmore, Mod. 71194100

You get to it from the freezer. Remove the back wall in the freezer and you will see it there. Unclog it with some wire or check to see if it has ice over it.

Leaking frig.

  • take out the back wall of the freezer and physically clean out the line. you may need to run a coat hanger or something down the drain to unclog it. also pour some hot water down the drain after you think you have it unclogged.
  • the water is coming from the freezer when is defrosts. the drain line is in the back wall of the freezer and may be clogged up with ice. clean out the freezer and pour some hot water in the very back of the freezer, this will hopefully unclog the drain. if not, then you have to take the back wall out of the freezer to get directly to the drain line. there should just be a couple screws holding it; it is just an aluminum or plastic panel.

LG Refrigerator

  • the drain line in the freezer may be clogged forcing water to drip into the freezer. clean out the freezer and pour some hot water in the back of the freezer to unclog the drain.
  • another cause of this would be if the door is not sealing properly then the inside of the refrigerator will build up condensation.
