I have the same problem more or less. Mine will stop working mid cycle, and when I go to push the Start button again i get a clicking noise like its trying to start, but nothing after that. Doesn't matter if its hot or cold, happens same every time.

Kenmore model 66812694 - quits running, buzzing noise at restart

bad motor, when you hear that noise open the door, hold in the door switch with one hand and with the other spin the drum and have someone else start it while you do this, all your doing is helping the motor start to spin but it sounds like a bad motor, this could be from not cleaning out the dryer,if it's gas it should be done once a year, electric can go another 6 months because there isn't an open flame in there,if you clean out the dryer and vent line the clothes will dry on time, the parts will last longer and you won't have a dryer fire.

Loud buzz when starting, then shutting down after 10 min.

Yes, this sounds like the motor cutting out on thermal lockout.

My dryer makes a buzzing noise when I push the start button

My Hotpoint dryer is seven years old and did the exact same thing. When I got over the anger and the thought of spending 4 or 5 hundred dollars to replace it I started messing with it. I finally decided that since it buzzed when I tried to start it there was current there. The only other thing it could be was the drying cycle knob.
I held the start knob and let it buzz while I slowly turned the dryer cycle knob to the right. As I turned through each cycle it would hit "off" and the buzzing would stop and then resume as I moved past the "off " setting. On the third trip around the dryer "started" and has been working since. Maybe something got out of kilter. Apparently the problem was in the knob that controls the drying cycles.

Knemore 80 series dryer won't start every time

Go to and enter your model number and it will show you all your parts, but I suggest you change your thermostats and basically have the dryer cleaned out of possible lint build up on the interior
