Follow this sequence to reset all the settings so that the language becomes English:
Turn cam on
Press the "menu" button.
Press right directional key (marked with the flash symbol)
Press down directional key to go to the bottommost entry of the menu (which is the reset all option)
Press the "set" key (in the middle of the directional keys)
Press the up directional key and then "set" to confirm.
There. you're done. Now you don't have to learn Chinese to use your cam!
EXTRA NOTE: BTW just in case this applies to you too; When I first got my cam, I had trouble finding the timer option to time the shutter (1-2-3 click!) It's called "drive mode" in this camera.

remove your sim card, insert a new or spare sim card switch on your phone now your phone should ask for changes in basic settings give yes this will directly land into the language menu now select the desired language
if this did not work,
go to menu - settings (identify using the settings icon) - general (1st option) - now language is the 3rd option on the line
just remove your current sim card, get another spare sim card or your
friends sim card and insert it in your phone and switch on then follow
the instructions for basic setup on your phone and it will directly lead
to the language options of your phone, then select the language
appropriately
if this did not work go to settings (differentiate menus using the icons) 1st option (general) use your track pad and press it twice this will land on the language menu then press the center button or select button
Ok, 1st buy an english keyboard if the layout on the keyboard is different. In Windows 7 click 'start button', 'Control option', 'Clock-Language and Region Option', there you will see 'change display language' and ' Change keyboards or other input methods', select and change options to suite your needs.
XP slightly different, Vista should be the smae procedure.
