Call out a service engineer as it needs to be looked at to see what is going on inside.

I have a burning smell coming from my LG front load washer. I googled it,it says it's the bearings. Which would be easier? Buying a different drum with bearings already pressed in or doing my own?

Holly, always easier to buy an assembly, but probably a lot more expensive. If you can remove bearing and take to a industrial supplier and get matching bearing, the cost would be a fraction of that of a new drum assy. If you or a friend can do it, go for it.
You may want to get a second opinion on what you are smelling, it very well could be the drum rubbing gasket if it is a burning rubber smell.Maybe call a good appliance Tech. have them diagnose and estimate repair. Check LG washer bearing link below.

What is fail code IE of washer machine LG wh2277hw ?

Generally not filling fast enough or ole water pressure or no water flow at all. If water is fully turned on, then check hose washer filters in hoses or filters in back of unit where hoses connect for clogs.

LG WM2487*M Washer smells like burning rubber in spin cycle

Smells like, I mean sounds like, a belt is burning either from friction caused by a bad bearing, or, a loose belt is slipping on the pully a bit, causing it to heat up from the friction.

Lg washer wh2277hw leaking from bottom

Couple of things....let's start with the easiest. You know where the little panel is, where the "drainperiodically and remove any lint" service port is? Check to see if it has the cap or plug tightened down. We will go from there.

Washing machine spins slowly and smells of burning rubber

The belt could be worn and will be slipping on the pullys, as it spins up the rubber , rubs against the pullys and that is what creats the burning rubber smell, the belt needs replacing.

LG WD-1234FH

You will need to have it checked by a qualified LG technician to see what is the deal with the burning odor.  And the noise is probably the washer not balanced correctly.
