Speed Queen gas dryer won't heat

I have the commercial model of a Speed Queen gas dryer. The ignitor glows and I just replaced the thermostat #510702 and it still will not ignite. There is gas flow to the valve. I noticed that on the exhaust housing there is another thermostat which is linked to the one near the ignitor. Could this be the source of the problem?

Thanks,

Mike

I have an older speed queen gas dryer that does not even glow. I got a igniter assy but it is flat and does not look like the one that is in there which is round. How do I remove the old one and will the flat one work?

It would be safest to turn off the gas supply. You should have a gas **** in line for this purpose.
