Sony PCV RZ44G irresponsive

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.Just because you see lights around the power button does not mean that the Power Supply is ok. I've seen many times when the Power Supply makes the light around the power button come on and makes the light on the motherboard come on, but it does not have enough power to make the Fan inside the power supply come on or anything else.

Compaq presario v5000 wont turn on

If you do not see any light on the power adapter even after checking with a good known wall socket. The it is probably the dapter that has gone bad , if you are still in warrenty then ask the HP for a new adapter or otherwise buy a new one

However you can also try to do a flee power that some times helps a lot. To do this remove the battery and disconnect the power adapter and then press and hold on to the power button of the laptop ( this is the button that you press in order to switch on the laptop ) for 20 to 30 seconds , then reconnect the adapter and try switching on the laptop.

Let me know if thi8s helps and I will be glad to assist you further.

Turn off actomatically, cannot turn on so far.

Your battery may be too low to allow charging it and "starting" your computer at rhe same time.

Remove the battery and clean the contacts on the battery and the laptop.
1. Plug in the laptop power adapter with no battery in the laptop.
2. Turn ON computer. It should stay turned on.
3. After Windows settles, insert battery.
4. The computer will stay powered on.
5. Allow to charge.

I cant reformat my sony vaio laptop

Hi,

Try to replace XP Disk, if not then change DVD-ROM, if not then Remove the AC power and the battery from the system. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to properly discharge the unit.

At the bottom of the laptop, find and open the placing of RAM. Unplug each RAM from its bank, clean each RAM Terminals with sand paper very politely. Plug them again in different bank. Lock your placing, now check.

Best of Luck,

Regards;
Hassan

My sony pcv w10 does not power on

Try to power on the computer with no battery inside.

If still no luck, then the battery adapter must be tested by reading voltages on the connector. This is done using a multimeter.

If the AC adapter is fine, and the laptop has no power at all , then it is usually a broken solder contact on AC socket on laptop.

All this can be tested at any local repair shop.

Have an MT6451. When I press the power button it will not turn on but the battery indicator light in front of the laptop flashes red every time I press the power button. I should also tell you that it did...

Gateway MT6451 laptop. That was easy but the rest is a guess without more details. It sounds like this computer is not plugged into an outlet or is not getting power from that outlet, and that the battery is dead low. Try plugging something else, like a lamp, into the very same outlet that the laptop is plugged into to make sure it turns on. Not the next plug over on a power strip, but the very same plug. If it doesn't get power either, there's hope. Except that your battery needs a good recharge after the laptop starts getting power.
If the outlet turned out to be good, then the power adapter on your laptop may have failed. At this point you'll need try another power adapter and try again. At this point you may need the help of people who can look at the computer for you, preferably friends with a similiar laptop (and power adapter).
I wish I could help more, but thats a start.
