I have a sony 2001 PSP, and I've had it for less than a month and just recently I tried to use it, when i attempt to turn it on I press the power button and the green light (which shows that the PSP is on) did show, however that was it. Nothing else happened nothing appeared on my screen of my PSP,usually my menu would pop up but instead the screen was blank.

what is the version of your psp??? i've been experiencing that a month ago...i try to upgrade it's version and it works...try to upgrade your psp...some games required higher version...and sometimes....psp could not read the games if you do have lower version... :p

Does you PSP have custom firmware? If it does, or if you were trying to install custom firmware, you probably BRICKED it. No good, if thats the case.
Were you updating and removed the battery? if so, call Sony, your PSP is done, unless it is an older PSP, then you might be able to fix it.

Try connecting your PSP to another hotspot. If it is not working take your PSP to Sony and let them replace the wlan.

try using a ChickHen installer software from PC aside from running it from your PSP. Running ChickHen in PSP slim 3000 series may take several attempts. If you successfully run ChickHen, turning your PSP off (by long pressing the power switch) will revert your PSP to OFW and you need to run ChickHen again, that's why standby is always preferable for these PSP versions. CFW in these versions are considered SemiHa*k and, as said, turning PSP off will revert to OFW.

i think youll need to call to get service done............if your psp warranty isnt up they may give you a new psp

this problem of yours is something happen inside your psp try to go to a mechanic for psp he might fix it

this is a common problem with psp`s you have what they called "bricked" your psp you can have it unbricked by some one with a pandora battery and a memory card.

Have you tried updating the firmware on your psp? If you havent done that in a while, you may need to because as sony puts out new firmware updates, they update the umds as well, so that you need to have the most recent firmware to play the most recent movies and games. If this doesnt work, you could always try cleaning the cd, and downgrading the firmware, if it lets you, that is...

the firmware is busted, which kills the system. i dont know how to fix it manually, but sony will fix it for a fee unless you find the warranty
