Are there any warning symbols coming on the LCD screen? Too much light like a photo of the sun will do this. Low batteries is another cause.

I have a zooming problem on my Olympus Camedia C-700 Ultra, can you help?

It sounds like some part of the power zoom mechanism has failed. It could be repairable but with the age of the camera I doubt it would be worth it- something else may fail and a newer camera would also provide improved image quality.

My canon HF100 kept on zooming in by itself. I would turn it on and leave it alone for 30 to 40 seconds, suddenly it'll just zoom in to the middle. I am able to use the zoom, it only happen when I am not...

This is most likely a defective zoom rocker switch assembly and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

During operation, my DSR-200a intermittently starts a very slow zoom all by itself, without my hand touching it. When I zoom back out, it starts zooming in again by itself...any ideas? Thanks

Camera doesnt allow me to take photos, lense keeps going in/out

this is most likley one of two things. If you are using a rechargeble battery - it is not keeping a charge. When the camera detects low power it will usually shut itself down drawing in the lens for protection and shutting down. If the battery is gone passed it's time it will not take a proper charge. You will need to replace the battery.
Alternatively you may have a dodgy mechanism - some dirt or even internal component may be broken - in your zoom lens. If the lens cannot extend correctly the camera will automatically retract and power down so as not to cause further damage - for example you camera gets accidentally switched on whilst in the case, and the lens cannot come out.... bring it in for repair.

I know not a solution but hope it helps.

Thomas

I need help!

i had the same problem, i shut the camera off, hit the cassette door a few times (not kidding) and when i turned it on it was fixed. the zoom bar will not show on the camera screen, but it won't keep zooming in by itself!! i had gotten this advice from people who had a similiar problem with the elura 60's models, must be a problem across the board.
