Water dispenser conditnues to drip after releasing the button

Sub-Zero 695/0 Side by side. We are experiencing that the after water dispenser button is released that water continues to drip for a few seconds and eventually stops dripping. I am thinking it is a seal or gasket that is worn but is there a set I can buy that I can change out?

if there is a water valve sticking open or the switch for the water dispenser is open - can this be corrected without having to call someone? Would you be able to recommend suggestions on how to unstick or correct the dispenser to close when button is released?

Leaking water dispenser

Bernie,
Your water dispenser is controlled by a solenoid valve that is often in tandem with the ice maker water valve (meaning two valves side by side). Check and make sure the water is dripping from the water outlet tube only, in which case the solenoid valve is leaking. However...sometimes what happens is that the door that isolates the ice shoot (and the inside of the freezer) from the outside can get stuck open. Either blocked, mineral build up, broken etc..and water (melting ice) will drip down and out. This can lead to other problems so be sure the flapper door from the ice dispensor is ALL the way closed.

Red lock light is on below ice and water dispenser. How do I turn it off so I can get ice and water?

Does this model have a light button? (I know the 685 and the 695 do.) If it does, press and hold the Light button until all the LEDs light up once. This takes about 5 seconds. (Repeating the process will reenable the lock.)

I hope this helps.

Sub Zero 642 side by side stainless steel leaks water from right door. evaporator pan is dry, water/ice dispenser door catch basin is dry. Several times per day water collects right under the stainless...

remove the crisper drawers and you will see a drain trough and a drain line . One or both is most likely blocked. If you pull the drain line off the trough usually you can clear it with a turkey baster filled with hot water
