Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800-S205 with a Toshiba SD-C2502 DVD-ROM
drive and Windows XP Pro. Some CD-Roms will load (will "mount" if you
like) and are visible in My Computer. However, I cannot Explore them
by double-clicking or right-mouse click/explore them. Oddly, if I open
a Command Prompt, I can change to the drive (letter D:) and view, copy
etc files on the disk.
Can anyone shed any light on this problem?? Toshiba website has no
drivers (quoting "native support") and nothing in Microsoft KB.
TIA.
Ronan

Sure, go to Device Manager and remove the Secondary IDe controller, and
the DVD drive entry, then restart the computer.
Removing the useless EZCD killed something, this will bring it back.
