How do you make a samsung BD-f5700 blue ray player operate on a 240 volt power supply

You need a step down voltage converter. I assume you will be using it in England or some other country that has a 240V standard. You will need to find one that has the correct outlet plug for the country you will be in. Search Amazon and you will find a bunch. The Blu-ray player draws 22W but you should get one that is at least 50W or 100W to be on the safe side. Need Replacement AC Adapter

Go to:

http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?N=1525575&Keyword=AC+Adaptor&FS=True

You need to input the correct voltage, amperage, the correct polarity, the correct outer diameter of the plug, the correct inner diameter of the plug. Don't worry about the input voltage, 117, 120, and 125 are all the same.

Power Cord

I don't know where you live, but if you're in the US you're probably near a Radio Shack store. They have a good selection of replacement AC adapters (fondly called "wall warts"). You need to select one that has the appropriate voltage and current rating for the player, and a tip that fits the power jack with the proper polarity. RS sells adapters that have tips that plug onto the adapter cable so you can get what you need.

You can also check on eBay. As of right now (3:47PM Feb 7 2009) this auction is running for what you need:

Need a new power cord

Depending on your location, you can get it from
Best Buy, CompUSA, RadioShack or www.amazon.com
The exact model might not be available but there are many replacement alternativesavailable. All you need is to inform the Rating (Voltage, Amperage) and DCplug type to the sales person.

Battery Charger for Trutech Portabel DVD player

Hi,

As have been posted in a post of similar concern...

You can try calling Target Customer Service 1.800.440.0680 and inquire cost & availability of the charger for the TruTech PVS12701.

Additionally, you may want to contact the manufacturer direct.
ALCO Electronics, Inc.
8392 Six Forks Rd., Suite 104, Raleigh, NC 27615,
(800) 252-6123)
Should you need direct Customer Support, please try here.

Alternately, you can just look for an AC adapter/charger that has the following specs:
Input Voltage - your country's standard AC mains;
Output Voltage - 12VDC
Output Current - at least 1.5 Amp (the higher the better)
Connector - one that will fit and match the polarity of the TruTech PVS12701. (am guessing crown type center positive, pls confirm with the store. It may also help to bring along the unit when doing the purchase over the counter).

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
