There is a error " certificate error: Navigation is blocked" when I am trying to open yahoo mail

You should be able to either navigate the site anyway, or permanently disable the warning.

If you would like to permanently disable the warning:

Click Tools and select Internet Options
Click the Advanced tab
Scroll down and ncheck "Warn about certificate address mismatch"

Certificate error on web site.

This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone. When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

Or

"Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."

To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:

Method 1:

You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
  • Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
  • Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
  • Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear.

Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.

Method 2:

Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.

    tool.jpg
  • Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites

    sec.jpg
  • Type the URL in the Add this website to the zone text box > uncheck Require server verification >Add > click OK

  • Click OK to exit.

Revocation message in Outlook Express

Outlook express has a setting to check for certificate revocation.
Drop down the Tools menu and choose Options.
Click on the security tab and on the Advanced button.

You should see a section towards the bottom of the dialog box named Certificate Revocation.

I have never changed these settings and mine is set to Never.

If yours isn't set to never give it a try and see what happens.

Digital Certificates are used for encryption and authentication.

Revocation is used when a Certification Authority issues a certificate to a company or individual and then something happens that makes the Authority cancel the certificate. There are many reasons why and I'm not going to speculate.

Have a look in your case who issued the certificate and who it is issued to. It could be someone up to no good and you would be better off to figure out what is going on before you just turn it off.

Server certificate

When an SSL certificate is created, the address that will be used to connect to the web page is specified. (www.mywebpage.com) If you are connecting to the IP address of the website, it will tell you that the addres that you have gone to, and the site on teh certificate don't match. There are also some problems with forwarding domain names improperly. what address are you trying to go to, and what exactly does the error say? I have a DI-614, and have never had a problem getting to Secure sites.
