Hi i cannot access my verbatim flash stick. It asks me to format the flash stick but i try to it fails to format can you give me some idea as to fixing this problem pls

Hi, try going into 'Control Panel' -> 'Administrative Tools' -> 'Computer Management'
Then, under 'Storage', choose 'Disk Management' and try formatting from there. If necessary, give your usb key a drive letter.

I think you may have already. The solution is to re-format the stick to FAT32 and that means losing all data. Perhaps you can take the stick to a data recovery centre and they may be able to get it off for you (if it's that impotant).

right click my computer, manage. go to disk management and delete any volumes on the flash and set back to basic disk if it's dynamic. format fat 32

Hi unfortunaltey there isnt much you can do

There are some free data recovery software out there which you could try


the only way around this is to format the drive, do this by clicking on my computer, then right clicking on the USB flash drive and clicking format

Flashing Access is sign that memory stick has some problem and mostly it can be fixed if you format memory stick through camera Menu Format Option.

have u cheaked site see if they offer it maby format it in fat 16 only
