Se apago mi sony nwz s545 y oquiere prender como ago para restablecerlo

This worked on me: I just plugged the USB conection to my "Phillips DVD player with USB conections" insted of plugging it to my PC. So I just played a song on my DVD player and when I stopped the song, turned off the DVD player... I unplugged it from the USB port and !!!!! appeared again what I was waiting for so long: The welcome screen "Every moment has its music." plus the "Creating Library" And finally I said "THANKS GOD!"
*** I tried many ways to find a solution (pressed the RESET buttom, charged the battery... but nothing happened... my screen was totally black = OFF).
Well.. I hope this is helpfull for all of you.

My mix max doesnt turn on. it was working and all of a sudden it said "connect to usb". i did then it turned off and it doesnt turn on anymore i tried to charge it but it still doesnt work. HELP!!! please.

If this doesn't help, the MixMax must be opened up. By CAREFULLY prying the corners loose, you can remove the back. You will break several of the smaller retainer clips during this, but it's OK. The main retainers will hold the unit together just fine once completed. Once opened, unplug the battery. NOTE THE ORIENTATION of the red and black wires. Use any 5V 500ma or less power supply and connect to the battery. Charge it for at least 30 seconds. return the battery to the unit, and reassemble. DO NOT TURN IT ON. Plug the USB cord in and let it charge completely.
The MixMax will disable the power if there is an unexpected power interruption, then the battery will run completely dead. Once dead, it cannot detect the USB when connected.

I bought a new sandisk m250 on amazon and I got it today, when I put the usb jack in both the computer and the mp3 nothing happens.. help me please

Just to be clear, most players require no special drivers. MSC mode will work out of the box with just about any MP3 player and any OS (W*ndows Linux). MTP mode will work as long as you have WMP 10 or 11 installed. Firstly, I will try to explain MSC mode and MTP mode and what they mean. MSC stands for Mass Storage Class. When your player is in this mode, the computer will see it the same way it would see a Thumb drive or flash drive, as a removable disk. It will assign the first available drive letter to your device, as well as one for the memory card (if it uses one and it is installed). This is probably the more popular of the 2 modes, and is a more "open source" type of standard. Most computers detect the player in this mode without a problem very well and right away.
MTP stands for Media Transfer Protocol. It is a Microsoft standard and is Microsoft's solution to connecting MP3 players and cameras to a w*ndow based Computer. MTP mode must be used in order to transfer ANY Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected content. MP3's downloaded form services like Rhapsody and Napster will only function in this MTP mode.
Most good MP3 players will have both of these modes at the users options.
Although not all do, so it is a good idea to check yours for these settings if you are having connection problems
NOTE: Any songs added to your player in MSC mode will not be available in MTP mode and vise-a-versa. In other words You can't see the files added in the other mode and you can not play them. You know you have some files on your player and can not find them now, you may have to change modes so they are available. Some players in the SanDisk line up use Instead, an "Auto Detect" function that is suppose to Automaticly use MTP mode. If MTP mode does not work for any reason, it should default to MSC mode.
To use MSC or MTP modes go to your players settings.
These settings will vary based on player model and you might have to refer to your users Manual. Check their web site for a download in PDF form. Turn the player on, if it is not already Navigate to the main menu of your player; this is the same menu that gives us options such as Play, Record, Info, etc... Navigate to "Settings" on the main menu of the player. After navigating to "Settings", you should see an option that states "USB" or "USB MODE" From here we can select MSC or MTP modes (could vary based on player model) Highlight the desired mode and select it, at this point it will roll back to the 'Settings' menu Connect the player to your computer and verify it is connecting in the desired mode. It should be noted, when a device is in MSC mode, it will appear as a "Removable disk". When connected in MTP mode, it will show up as an "Audio Device".
Now most players now days can and will use`MS W*ndows Media Player. You can also try to reinstall W*ndows Media Player 10 or 11 Next W*ndows has a update to fix if all else fails try this link. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A2E73160-E862-4F19-BB26-C0CAFE798955&displaylang=en

My zen vision m is completely dead and will not turn on. When plugged into the usb charging cord and into my computer, it still will not even turn on to at least the charging screen like it should, or at...

I just sorted one of these out. Forget the usb cord even witht the blue light flashing it ain't charging. Not sure about the internal wiring of the dongle but usb just doesn't seem to deliver enough oomph to get it started when the battery is that flat. Get a mains adaptor and plug that in to the charging socket on the dongle or get one of those dedicated mains chargers from ebay. Once I did this I was up and running in no time.

Hi there
Wow! That's awesome! Well done!!
The problem, based on the fact that it is happening identically to 2 different ipods, is definitely your 'boom box'.
Check the main usb connector of the boom box

All the best

I have an Archos 605 WiFi. I haven't yet connected my Archos docking station to the TV and HDD. Meanwhile, I thought I would copy a programme from the HDD to a DVD, then put the DVD in the computer and...

What kind of HDD do you have, do you have any type of output on it. You stated that you haven't connected the docking station to it and the TV...? The best thing to do is to connect your Archos to the Docking station. Set the docking station up correctly, with cables coming out of the HDD (if it has some sort of output) to the station and out of the station to your TV. Once you set that up, you can use the Archos as a mini DVR or VCR. Go to the REC option on the main screen of Archos, you'll have an option for Video Recorder (tab on top). If you play any source on the HDD, then all you have to do is press the Rec option on the Archos. If you already have a file on the HDD, then try just moving it over into the Archos once you connect the Docking station to your computer via USB or just use the USB cable connected to the computer with the HDD. I use the USB preference as Windows Media Device. (found under menu/settings/system). Is is basically a HDD itself. Remember the Archos will only play certain videos without the purchase of any extra plugins.
Good Luck

I couldn't find Sansa on my computer when I connect with USB cable!

Go into the device manager by right clicking on my computer, hitting manage, and highlighting device manager. Expand the usb devices section and see if there are any unknown devices listed. Hit view Show hidden devices if you cant find anything. Remove anything that says unknown device. Take out the device from the computer, install the most recent software from their website. Connect the device back.
