Unable to open browsers (any) on emachines windows 7

b>All you want to do is view a particular website, but when you open Internet Explorer and type in the web address or click on the page in your Internet Explorer Favorites, the page does not appear. Instead, you read a message announcing that the page cannot be displayed. Through some troubleshooting, you can determine whether the issue is with your connection, the website you are trying to view or Internet Explorer. Once the problem has been identified, it might be an uncomplicated fix.

Find out whether you can view any web pages. Open Internet Explorer and type in the address of a site with which you are unfamiliar. If you need an idea, look around the room and type in a brand name you see, such as Phillips.com" or "Teak.com." The reason for this is that if you have recently visited a site, the "cached" files might appear on your screen and not provide an accurate determination. If you are able to see a new site, the issue is likely with the website you are trying to visit. Check the connection to the modem or router. If you are unable to view any web pages, your connection might have been lost. Check physical connections to see if anything is unplugged. If you are using a wireless connection, verify that it is still working. Unplug the modem. Pull both the power cord and the phone line or Ethernet plug out of the back of the modem and leave it alone for a few minutes. Plug the cords back in and allow it to power up completely. Try the connection again. Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help Click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options or Click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type each adress on its own line (type in google.com) or your preferred home page and browser below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search Providers Toolbar extensions and Accelerators you have have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them

Click start type cmd press enter you will be in DOS mode type in ipconfig press enter you will see all of your internet connection details or type in your default gateway adress into your internet search should read something like 10.0.0.138 to get an inertnet connection Contact your Internet service provider. A cable, DSL or phone line outage is a common cause for connectivity issues. Delete Internet Explorer's history. Close any open applications and open a new Internet Explorer window. Click "Tools" and then click "Delete Browsing History." Click each "Delete" button, except passwords if you allow IE to retain them for you. Hope this helps.

Fix my toolbar

What's wrong with your toolbar? Which Toolbar? Your problem might be you have too many toolbars. Toolbars slow your browser down and clog up your screen.

If you are using Internet Explorer you get to the toolbars by clicking View on the menu bar, then click Toolbars. You can check and uncheck the ones you want to appear or not appear on your browser. If you menubar is not at the top of your Internet Explorer browser, look over to the right and see if you see Tools or the Tools icon and click it, then click toolbars.

If you are running Windows 7 press and hold the ALT key for the toolbar to appear at the top of the screen. If you want it to stay there Click View/Toolbars then select Menu bar.

I deleted too much from my Yahoo search toolbars. I am now down to 2 lines at teh top and the place to enter the web address isn't one of them. How do I get that capability back?

To change the Toolbar settings:
• Start Internet Explorer, click View and then point to Toolbars.

• If there is not a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to place the check mark. If there is a check mark next to Address Bar, click Address Bar to remove the check mark, and then click Address Bar to place the check mark.

• If the Address bar is in the upper right corner and not available, right-click Address, and then click Lock the Toolbar to remove the check mark.

• ClickAddress, and then drag the Address bar where you want it.
