JVC 56in. is broken

My rear projection tv isbroke it will turn on but thre is no picture and the only audio is a thump thump like a heartbeat any help would be appreciated. I really just want to know if it is worth fixing or should i just get a new model

id probably get a new model once they are past the 5 year mark its about time for a new one
