Connect the incoming cable to the player then run a cable from the player to the tv. Connect the white yellow red cable from the player (out) to the tv (in) and you shoud be up and running. That is how mine is connected and it works fine.

the cable from your provider to the player and the other cable from the player into the tv. This one has two male ends and goes from player (out) and tv (Cable in). Hope this makes it clear

Here is the owner's manual for your DVD machine. This is a VHS recorder but not a DVD recorder. To record VHS tapes to DVDs, you will need a DVD recorder.
You will plug the yellow video out connector on the VHS to the yellow 'Video in' connector on the DVD Recorder. Do the same for the red and white audio connections, out on the VHS, IN on the DVD Recorder. Connect your TV to the DVD recorder so you can see the picture you are recording.

How to transfer Panasonic DMR-E80H recorded DVDs to computer

I have to agree with XELIAM regarding finishing the disk, under the DVD "FUNCTIONS" selection from the remote. I also use the SLYSOFT products to transfer my videos to what ever other mode of video I wish to have, whether iPOD (MP4), or DIVX (AVI) or loads of other options. Slysoft makes a GREAT product

DVD player/ recorder problems... PLEASE HELP!!!

I have now had two Panasonic recorders 3 years apart and both have gone down with this same fault.

It's a shame as they are a fantastic recorder, I would have thought Panasonic would have put this right by now. It now 5 years on since I bought my first one and it sounds as if they still have the same fault.

Why the hell can't they just fit a standard computer dvd drive that’s cheap to replace, and not this abortion they fit.

I was looking on E-bay for Panasonic recorders that where faulty and found around twenty.

ALL WITH THE SAME FAULT

"DVD drive faulty"

I’m now looking for a new one but don’t know what to do as I have a ton of discs that need to be finalized, may just forget about them and keep clear of Panasonic in future.

Recording over copyright

One way would be to hook your video up to a computer and record it this way.
