Question about Digital Cameras

I am having an issue getting a clear picture with the Panasonic WV-CP254 using the Panasonic WV-LA2R8C3B Lens, 1/3``, AI, F1.3, 2.8mm Super WA. This is a new install and I followed the instructions for set up. Picture is blurry and will not focus.

First thing Ariel is to read the manual. Specs say it has something called 'Intelligent Zoom', so it might be by design.

Picture not focused at 12x zoom

It's probably something to do with a lag or jam on your shutterspeed. so when you hit the button, and move you get a little blur. If its not this you might need to have your lens cleaned inside and out due to the camera zooms and catches the blurs on the lens after zooming so far in. I would recommend taking it to your local camera shop for adjustments and cleaning.

When trying to take picture....screen looks pink-tinted , not clear...I was thinking a button or feature had mistakingly been touched...but cannot figure out what has changed the focus on screen...is...

This is likely a problem with some settings with your camera, or some damage to your lens. I personally haven;t used one of these camera's but if you can check the settings look for things like color, hue, tint, etc. If it is not a settings issue, you may want to consider having an electronics store take a look at it to check the lens for damage.

The lens on my panasonic lumix dmc-fx07k camera will not open or extend out. when you turn the camera on it sounds as if it is in the process of opening and coming out, but it does not.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with try to blow compressed air around the lens cover so that if there is any dirt it cleans if off. You can also stick a thin strip of paper between the lens shutter and the outer support ring & move it in a way that it clears the debris that's stuck in there. If still the issue is not resolved then you'll have to replace the lens assembly & lens mechanism to fix this issue. It is recommended to be done by a professional. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

AF not working

The first thing to do is make sure that the lens you purchased supports AF. If not that is the issue. If you have a lens that does support it then make sure in your camera settings you are either set on AI Servo or AI focus

The images are not crisp - as if not fully in focus

I am having the same problem. I bought a Tamron zoom lens as an add on. This lens costs more than the camera and yet images are not as sharp as i would expect from such a highly touted camera. My Kodak Z740 point and shoot gives sharper prints. This is very frustrating. I bought Rebel for Dummies and still am having the same problem. Very frustrating

AF won't autofocus

I had a similar problem with my XTi. I swapped between two lenses and the issue stayed with the camera most likely because the AF logic is in the camera, and not the lens. What fixed my issue was when I took the lens off, and tried taking a picture to see how the mirror reacted. Sure enough, something was blocking my mirror from activating during the shot. I didn't see anything blocking, so I assumed it was "stuck". I moved the mirror, and after that, the AF worked fine when I put the lens back on. Not sure if this will help.
