Question about Garmin GPS
To crack the case on a garmin c550 or probably any other similar case styles is pretty easy. Facing the unit take you finger-nail (you don't need a flat screwdriver) and proceed to separate the chromish looking faceplate from the front of the unit. This is the shiny part that says 'garmin' on it. Just use your finger-nail and right above the garmin name start to work your way around the face plate and carefully remove the cover. There are 4 clip type connections that should slip out if you take your time. Once the face plate is off, remove the 4 black screws. There are 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Once removed separate the case and the batter is the long round thing between the speakers. I don't know what kind or type it is but at this point you can take it from here.
