Unplug the unit from the wall for 2 min's then plug back in and depress the lock button and hold until the beep or light shuts off. Sometimes it will take more than just 3 sec's and sometimes as long a 20 sec's,
The control lock is a feature you can turn on so someone can't change your settings after you start a wash, or a child can't start up the washer on their own if the lock is on. There is a subscript under one the option buttons on the dryer that says Control Lock Hold for 3 seconds. Hold the button in for 3 seconds or so and the lock should turn off. This is a common issue because most do not use this feature therefore do not know about it. If this doesn't do the trick the dryer has a control problem. Good luck.
