The generic PIN (Which is what I'm guessing you need) for most bluetooth devices is either 0000, or 1234. Please try those and see if that solves your problem.

Charge your bluetooth device fully. when ready, turn on your phone's bluetooth software (settings/bluetooth/on) press and HOLD the power button on your device until it blinks 3 times (or continuously) wait for your phone to see it. Usually the pairing code is 0000 the phone should let you know when it is complete. Good luck.
You have to do three things. 1) Turn on the Bluetooth function of your phone. 2) Set your phone to search for new devices to pair with. 3) Tell your headset to search for new devices to pair with. Unfortunately all three things are device specific, so if you can't figure out how to do #1 & #2 through the phone's menu tree, let me know what phone you have and I'll see what I can find out. #3 is accomplished on some headsets by holding down the power button for a certain length of time (ie-turn on the headset on and continue to hold the power button).
I had the same problem. I plugged a USB charger into the headset and turned the power switch off. It worked as normal after that. I think it does not like to be "on" when the USB is disconnected. Anyway it seems the plugging/unplugging kick-started it.
