You could try opening the housing, with the power cord unplugged. Find the location on the circuit board where the HDMI/DVI port interface with the circuit card. Check the condition of the solder joints and look for signs of a cold joint or bad connection where the sockets connect. If you find bad solder joints simply resolder them with a low wattage soldering Iron no larger than 30 to 40 watts. Make sure you do not accidently solder any of the pins together causing a short circuit. Use the thinest 60/40 lead/tin rosen core solder. You can get this cheap at radio shack. If this is the case you will be up and running in no time.
Also I'm sure you already tried this but make sure you set the T.V. to get the signal from the proper port. You do this in most cases by hitting the source button on the remote or finding the option to select input source under the main menu somewhere. If you somehow over looked this, Try this first and your problem will be solved. If you need more help feel free to contact me. I will answer any of the questions you may have.
If you could please remember to rate this solution after we are done diagnosing your problem

Make sure windows finds your monitor in your OS(operating system) Start<My Computer< right click on my computer and click properties< device manager < goto Monitors and see if windows finds it. If you have a graphics card, make sure the card has the latest driver installed from the webite.

My sceptre X22WG is no longer showing white screen but getting progressively darker blue. How can I get it back to a white screen?

Colour changes like this are either due to a failing graphics card, failing monitor or bad connection from the computer to the monitor.. with this monitor, I'd have it checked by a tv repairman

Monitor will not turn on blue light flashing bottom right hand of monitor

I'm having the same problem. Had the monitor for almost 2 years and everything was working fine until this week. The blue light would blink, then after an unpredictable period of time, the monitor would turn on. Seems like it needs to warm up or something. I suspect it has something to do with the capacitors not charging inside. Somewhat disappointed with Sceptre. I suppose I should be thankful that I got 2 years out of it.

X22WG-gamer sceptre 22" monitor won't power on. It's not the power cord because I've used the power cord on a different monitor and it worked fine. Any and all assistance will be much appreciated.

Your monitor has 3 or 4 blown caps right next to the power plug. They are CapXon 470uf25v. Just open the back and remove the power board, desolder, and replace the 3 or 4 caps put it back together and it should go back to working. This a typical problem with the Sceptre gamer, HP1706, and the HP1903. And guess what they all have the same caps blown in almost the same place.NOTE: When seperating the case the power led is glued to the front frame. Take your time if you rush you will break a cable wire or plug.

My Sceptre x22wg-Gamer Monitor isn't getting any power, HELP!!!

I have two of the X22WG monitors, both dead. The power supply in this model is apperently plauged with a common error. The problem is close to the +5V and +12V output connector (Far right corner, with power plug against you). Two out of the four small caps are blown. Replace those, and it should be fine. C551 and C552.

warcryofjuda, One of the guys that I work with brought in a small screen Sceptre DTV/DVI/VGA +audio unit. and it also has a optional TV/tuner module. mod S1701DTV with side mounted speakers. The viewable screen size is 14"w x 8.75"h . Oh! First things first! Turn it OFF and leave it off. Disconnect it and put it in a safe place for now. IT'S BROKE!! It will not work today, and it will not work tomorrow or the next day. Got that? Ok! Now I want to know if you would like to work together with me and explore both of these monitors and possibly come up with a fix for them? Please get back to me via my email with what ever approach you feel is best for you. We have already opened up our unit and I will try to attach some pic's for you to compare your unit with. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@aol.com
Bye for now.
