Question about Canon PowerShot A460 Digital Camera

Powershot A460, LCD picture is black but display options appear

Hi, my Canon A460 was working fine and now the LCD view doesn't display anything besides the menu items around the edge (i.e. #picures, mode, etc). And when i take a picture in any light it wants to use the flash (which works) and the picture is all black. the LCD works on power up by displaying the blue "Canon" start so its not the LCD, can anyone tell me what I can do to get my camera taking photos again. Thanks.

No image display on camera mode

There are different settings. You can view the past photos because you are using the viewer for that, but you have a setting off in the menu. You need to turn on view photo or preview photo after picture taken. I am not sure what it is in the Canon line, but look in your manual for the setting.

I had this problem too. Try the "DISP" button (bottom left on the display side of the camera. It allows you several viewing options, and is easy to accidentally hit and turn the LCD screen "off."
